i used raytech security tint on side window. One time my wife drove near a guy who was cutting the grass and a stone which flew on the car side window broke the mirror. The tint hold the broken mirror in place but I always thought a security tint can take much higher force before it breaks.

The lady at raytech said the tint is inside ma and the stone come from outside thats why it break maa. no warranty meh.

So should tint apply outside?

Receive raytech 350 voucher, and can only afford their rm800 ori price tint.

Without voucher they can give rm200 discount = rm600

With voucher, they deduct 350, then only further discount rm50= rm400

May I ask the location of the road where your car was stopped by JPJ and issued the summons? Touch wood, I haven't seen a "tint operation" by JPJ for the past 10 years if not more. If my car was stopped, it will likely fail the VLT test as well unless the tint has deteriorated throughout the years and the VLT changed from 59% to 70%, if that's possible.

I'm not sure if it's possible that we request the officer to tear or remove the out-of-spec tint on the spot instead of issuing the summons.

I am here in Labuan, tint was made in raytech kota kinabalu.

Almost everyday since new year they got road block on various roads, i was in ehailing group and other drivers reported theres jpj rb everyday.

I'm curious too, how much does the saman cost?
Do you have any idea how many VLT for the window you kena saman?
*
I supposedly to get 3 saman, left front passanger, driver right, and myself cuz i am not the car owner(wife's car)

But the officer gave me 1 saman as warning. One saman is rm100.

He used the machine to check and its only 20 percent VLT.

20%VLT for the front windscreen?

So you are in Sabah. In Kuala Lumpur quite rare.

Front windscreen is 70%
The front left and right that is calculated as 20%

But raytech warranty card says jpj compliant

Is it possible for car tint to behave like sunglasses? Those that gets darker when under bright sun and turn transparent under shade?

I feel the raytech film on my behave that way, when car park under shade i can see inside, when under bright sun its get so dark i cant see inside.
