The car accessories people installed a tint brand FAMOS and charge me RM2K for it.  He said this brand FAMOS is under HUPER OPTIK, which isn't launched yet.

It's not under HO。
But Smart Window, the dealer who carries the tint. (Another in-house brand tint? )

http://www.smartwindow.com.my/famos.html

The IRR% specs displayed on the website are good enough, the highest grade tint Famos X3, IRR% reaches 98% with 72%VLT. ( surpassing Vkool elite IRR% 94) notworthy.gif

But where's the TSER figure?

Im a user of Huper Optik and been satisfied with the performance. I wonder is there any other tint brand that have better heat rejection?

Looking to install on my new ride.

Vk ELITE
Visible Light Transmittance 73.20%
Visible Light Reflectance 8.00%
Ultra-Violet Radiation Rejection 99.00%
Shading Coefficient 0.50
Infra-Red Heat Rejection 94.00%

Vk 55
Visible Light Transmittance 58.00%
Visible Light Reflectance 7.00%
Ultra-Violet Radiation Rejection 99.00%
Shading Coefficient 0.48
Infra-Red Heat Rejection 96.00%

Vk 40 (not sure if still availabe) IMHO, the best heat rejection film.

Just got my front windscreen tinted with raytech ultra 70, as written in the warranty card.
But somehow I feel that it is really warm driving under the sun....

What problem could it be? Fake raytech? Or written ultra 70 but actually something else...

Or could it be my wrong feeling?
Driving in the afternoon with my hand below above dashboard to test the heat, can feel the heat lorrrrrr....
Someone can enlighten me....?
Thanks

It's either you expect to much or they are flattering their specs.

Raytech Ultra70
VLT 70% ; IRR%97; TSER 58% ( better specs than Vkool) notworthy.gif

But one thing for sure, those tint are not cheap sad.gif

I think most of the people will still go with 70 on the front and 50 on sides and rear.
If you put 70 front, 50 driver seat and 30 rear and passenger, it gonna look so weird  shocking.gif

Depends on the individual, I don't really support on this new ruling.
They should lower the VLT for FWS from 70% to 60% and the rest windows from 50% to 40%

Vkool Elite for FWS

Vkool VK 50 for front seats

Vkool Vk40 for back & rear.

Any VK30? hmm.gif
