Has anyone done Vkool Elite for front windscreen and Vkool 40 for the rest? If someone could share a pic it would b really helpful. I just got a silver and am ooking for a black(not greenish or brown) dark tint that's darker than legally allowed yet wont scream out "stop me' at roadblocks.
p/s Have been using vkool Elite for all my previous rides but not with vkool 40 - used Elite in combination with Armourcoat & Windowshield; no complaints on performance but it is not really black and i'm concerned it wont match the silver well.

QUOTE(mushigen @ Jun 2 2018, 11:37 AM) Dear all, anyone seen how Puspakom checks the VLT of our windows? Do they use the VLT meter all the time, or only on those windows that they think will fail - which means can still pass for the front windscreen. Asking because, if I choose 3M crystalline 70 for the front windscreen, its VLT is 68% (source: 3M website). When applied, the VLT falls further. The front two windows are easier and cheaper to replace, so I won't mind using Crystalline 40 (VLT 39% vs min 50% JPJ rule). They use a handheld device Tint Testa. They dont always test., depends on luck. Btw, can share how much your 3m crystalline?

QUOTE(Beach_Boy @ Jun 5 2018, 11:58 PM) puspakom checks all the window (except for that small triangle part) here's the report from a very recent inspection, front crystalline 70, side 50,(the tint's 8 year old already though) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « dont ask me why/how, i also dont know Mind to share the specs of the tint u used for each side? That would help us estimate the margin of difference between the puspakom measurement and the actual tint rating; which would also give an estimate VLT of the stock glass windows.

QUOTE(Beach_Boy @ Jun 6 2018, 10:01 AM) 3m crystalline 70 for front windscreen and 50 for all other glass i forgotten about it as i was quite busy last few weeks, then while i'm in the line some other guys there told me "bro you didnt peel off your tint ah, wont pass one wor" i was already thinking to make another appointment in the near future already not sure what's the tolerance like but yeah, i passed Thanks. Means the stock glass has a VLT of around 92-95%

guys, been surveying all the major brands of tints for my new car and i have discovered something. They all cost a bomb..unless you settle for their second line/conventional series/oem/house-brands. With these second liners specs and warranty become a bit hazy, pricing also varies between dealers. So in the end..im now so konfiusd. Ive narrowed it down to a few options. Please vote which you would choose :
1. Vkool elite + REM38 = RM1650 2. 3M cryst 70 + crystalline scotshield 40 = RM2300 3. Llumar gold + diamond 6 = Rm2250 4. Vkool elite + Solarcool x40 = RM2600
has anyone used Vkool REM..how do you find it? Tx a million

QUOTE(killerpigglet @ Jul 4 2018, 02:59 AM) It depends. Tser is calculated after combining all 3 factors like irr, vlt and uv to form tser but still not entirely accurate. %TSER = 0.43*%VLT + 0.03*%UV + 0.54*%IRR. But this is not as accurate too because the most accurate is a expensive spectrograph to measure. So if u want easiest way to get best tint. Go for high ir n low vlt. Like what I sell usually 90% above which is always cool Bro is this formula correct? I tried verifying the published TSER of a few different tints using ur formula and im getting values that are vastly different.

Hello, abang- abang, kakak- kakak, otai-otai dan saudara-saudari sekalian. Ade tak any of you guna tint REM from VKOOL or SOLARCOOL X series from Tint-shop. Seems those are offered with Vkool Elite (fws) in the cheaper vkool packages. Can users please feedback their opinion of these 2 tints?
Heard REM is actually almost same as V-kool. Same manufacturer but produced without the branding, ie. REM is actually OEM vkool. True?
