I had a feeling it is metalized tint, or combo metalized + ceramic. Which good on reject heat, IR etc as well as smart tag infrared signal.
The other solutions is by opening window while using a smart tag

I have received some pretty decent deals from dog999. But I'm still contemplating between Hamel and 3M while waiting for CMCO to be over.

I've used Llumar and 3M previously and they are pretty solid and last a long time. As of now, I am quite interested in Hamel's Royal series for its specs and feature as some users claim it is better than 3M, but there seems to be mixed reviews for their tints. On the other hand, I could also just go for 3M's Crystalline for the entire car, which is most likely the safest choice in terms of long lasting tints due to it being tried and tested.

Would be great to receive some feedback from users who have used Hamel for several years. Thank you.

Yeah that's why I'm struggling to decide between the ol' reliable 3M or try out Hamel's photochromic tint haha

tint are supposed to last as long as your car

it is particularly bad for your rear windscreen that has demister wires

but i just don't trust a majority of the installer's workmanship out there

of all my years experience of having tint... workmanship > all
i've seen way too many cases of tint having problems due to poor workmanship, some is partly because they just want it cheap
if i can't find great workmanship, i rather not reinstall

If you are the installer/technician you probably can comment on the technique.
We have seeing hundred of car being installed with a lot different way as there is no specific guide doing it. 

I do agree the workmanship is equally important because in the eye of customer it is aesthetic.
But end of the day, it revert back to how much does the car is expose to the UV/Heat and the film quality.

If you have cheap quality but great workmanship the film will not last long.
Take a look at those OEM installation such as Proton or Perodua. It start to bubble up within 5 years
OEM installation always have great QC before they deliver the car, thus the workmanship is at the best

Oh there is no product in the world that could last as long as your car, if yes all the business will die

i saw one here are even looking for sub RM1k tint which i'm pretty sure "quality of film" is no longer in the talk already
which is somewhat equivalent or worse than those OEM on proton and perodua already

Hi guys, looking to tint my 2014 Honda City that I bought secondhand. Since its a secondhand car, not really willing to spend more than 1k on tinting. Found a brand called "Totalgard". Apparently its a Malaysian brand based in Kepong. Has anyone tried this brand? Can anyone give any reviews? More specifically their Infusion Pro series. Thanks.
