Most shops should have the Infrared meter to test it. You can try to ask the shop that you have tinted your car. Car Tint Advice - V2, Raytech, Vkool, Huper Optic, 3M or .....

QUOTE(Gabarn @ Aug 21 2014, 12:40 PM) Sit in my colleague's Vios two days ago and find his tint works pretty well against hot sun spell. When asked , I was told his Vios tinted with a tint brand call Windshield / Winshield / Wingshield Hi, With the price of 1.6k you are able to get some pretty decent specs from the big brands like V-Kool, Raytech, 3M... The common problems with local brands products are like bubbles, drastic drop down in heat rejection performance within 1-2 years time. |

Now a day, too many window film brand in market. Basically, 2 things you can must know when choosing the film.
1. Discover the "Brand" that selling USA Original Product. Actually only few brands in market are selling genuine USA product, the rest are not. But how do you know about it. Tips : a) The brand that can reveal their USA manufacturer supplier name and website. b) Brand that recognise by their USA manufacturer too. c) Original Packaging with brand logo (Many local brand come with blank packaging box) d) Brand logo stamp on film. (Most USA brand come with logo) Discover more here : http://raytechfilms.com/customer-info/ 2. Make sure you pay for original "Brand" product. Complete Step 1 before Step 2. Many "Black-heart" dealer carrying USA brand but selling other product to customer to make more profit. Most of customer do not aware about it. Tips: a) You can easily google the original product of the brand on their website. b) Try to look for the logo on the film before installation. c) Make sure you visit the authorized shop to get the right product. Extra Informations : a) Do not trust too much of the film specification like IRR and TSER. We find many many brand given fake reading. b) Test the film before and after installation to make sure you get the right tint. c) Do not trust on non-authorized dealer. Example : Other accessories shop can offer Raytech product. It is impossible. Finally, you getting fake Raytech product with no Raytech logo on the film. Good Luck. |

QUOTE(Pokey @ Aug 30 2014, 09:25 AM) I want to share my experience with Raytech. Hi Pokey, I did the tinting for my new honda city in cheras branch last monday (CS75 and N85 for the front) After the tinting, at home I just realized there are 2 small bubbles at the rear. I immediately contacted Sean who then asked me to go to ss2 branch to get it fixed. I went to ss2 branch and it got fixed immediately in 15 minutes with the manager keep apologizing to me of the inconvenience I have experienced. Frankly I am impressed with the service of Raytech. True, at the beginning they made an error with the bubble on the rear, but they fixed it immediately. Bro Sean even made a follow up 2 days after my tinting to ask if I have issues with my tinting. This is the second time I did my tinting in Raytech. First one was 1.5 years ago with my i10 in ss2 branch (ex series if I am not mistaken). So far, no issue with the heat rejection. Thanks to bro Sean for the responsiveness. Thanks a lot for the kind words... Appreciate it |

QUOTE(thenoobone @ Sep 2 2014, 07:27 PM) Btw i went to canny cool in Subang jaya branch Hi thenoobone, Sorry to hear about your experience but I believe there are still many brands and retailers out there that carry out satisfactory service such as Raytech, vkool & 3M. Don't make too early assumptions, there are still many great feedback around. As applies to any field of business, there are always a good side of it, vice versa. Better luck next time bro Lousy service Firstly we are from Ampang , went all the way to Subang in order to get our car tinted ( Wira only ) , stucked in jam and reach abit late aprox 30-40 minutes late but did inform , So someone told us that yes sure can come but already have one car came in , so have to wait , since we dont mind and quite free on the appointment and leave the car about 4.30pm , and if not mistaken there is 2 car being tinted as well After 2 1/2 hours of rounding at Subang Parade , went back , only to notice nobody even touch our car , and since we took the cheapest package ( Rm160 ) + wira car nobody even car to apologize or even worst the ah beng just say ah , ya i know , because i questioned why he didnt do my car since i left there about 2 hours and he said will start work after 1 hour since they have other customer came in first, typical business who look down on others who dont choose premium service or drive fancy car 2 thumbs down on this lousy service , since then never bother to go any tinted service |

QUOTE(PoppinVinvin @ Sep 6 2014, 05:43 PM) Thanks Sean for his patience and good services!! He basically will keep on update and follow up if you are interested in Raytech products.. Hi bro, Sean contacted me directly despise I have a very lack of knowledge about tinting stuffs and booked appointment on Saturday to decide which tint I want after thorough demonstration at the Puchong branch.. before this set my budget low but in the end, I had decided on Cs85+Ultra70.. 101% satisfied!!!!!!! Superb workmanship, punctuality and attitude at the Puchong branch.. Highly recommended for Raytech tint! Thanks once again bro.. appreciate it alot!!! P/s: invest more in tints are definitely much worth it.. cosmetics can come later on.. if high budget, Centurion is far more superb... Thanks a lot for your great compliments bro. Appreciate it QUOTE(19 Degree South @ Sep 7 2014, 09:46 AM) Vkool elite very top spec meh? Vkool 40 is top spec Ler ! The so called security tint film is a hazard during any car accidents! Why pay money to endanger ÿourself? Vkool 40 is indeed a good film but it might be too dark. Vkool 55 and 70 might be the better choice to comply with JPJ regulations. Security films might cause some issues during an accident, but there are numerous benefits and advantages that we can take into consideration such as preventing shattered glass etc. Cheers |

QUOTE(spamfish @ Sep 10 2014, 12:41 AM) hi there, Hi spamfish, with that budget you can opt for many other more reputable brands. Wingard has been in the market for some time but their performance and feedback are not quite up to the mark. Just my 2 cents i just recently pick up my accord 2.0 as well. The SA offered me wingard 4 mil tint same price RM 1700 with 10 years warranty going through Honda Kah Motor. Original walk in price is RM 2000 with only 5 years warranty if you go directly and not through official Kah Motor. they recommend a reputable installer Neuton @ Pahang Road, penang. Mind sharing what choice did you make? Any advice would me much appreciated. QUOTE(Adin @ Sep 10 2014, 02:10 PM) Lord Gitsy, what is the estimated price for Hi Adin, 1. front Ultra 70 and side V97 2. front Ultra 70 and side Centurion RX-4mil? for mini SUV (like SX4 and rush) and in JB. PM you already. Thanks! |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Sep 30 2014, 06:03 PM) Fugly...I am just worried the VLT exceed a little bit, since the tint itself is already 50vlt...add window..sure exceed a bit. But 30% irr for the rear windscreen is really very low. Many will not be used to the darkness during driving... |

QUOTE(shashiok @ Oct 1 2014, 01:59 PM) Actually the free Llumar one is a security tinted. Yes it's a security film together along with the Alza. You can opt to add on a second layer as a cheaper option but risk with having no warranty at all. Car looks like aquarium, ppl can see everything inside. and my 3 years old son always complain "hot hot" when he is in the car with her mother. Or You can remove them off and add on a new layer but it will be more costly this way. |

QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Oct 1 2014, 06:45 PM) The main reason for 30% VLT on the back is because a lot of japanese imported recond car use AS3 privacy glass But yeah, seriously, I personally feels not many people will like 30% VLT on their rear windscreen. It's too dark to drive around with especially at night |

Hi Pain4UrsinZ, yes it is possible to mix and match, but kindly be reminded that safety films are supposed to be installed on side windows only. You cannot install it on the front windscreen bro.i only need Solar+security for front windscreen and windows, rear windscreen and windows only solar. Possible to install different package for front and rear ? reason i install like because want to reduce spend. |

QUOTE(Pain4UrsinZ @ Oct 7 2014, 04:34 PM) do you mean Security+solar Screen is only for side windows ? while for windscreen is only solar. is that why side window screen always thicker than windscreen ? Hi bro, the windscreen glass itself is originally thicker than the side windows. They are made of different materials. Adding on safety films on the windscreens csn disturb your driving visual. That's why you do not need safety films for the windscreen, jpj doesn't allow that and we do not recommend it as well |
