whats different with PPF?

For tint for housing which tint is recommended

From Eastman Chemical website, it stated that Vkool and Llumar are both under Eastman umbrella.
Never thought that they both are under the same holding company

been a loyal vkool user here..had it on 3 cars all with FULL vkool elite..
i would say the heat rejection is impressive considering is a VLT70% film..i would dare to say it is the BEST out there where others cant really compete wit using the same thier highest range of 70% VLT film..when i say this i was quoting it the rivals leading brands that u guys can think of in the market..  

spec on paper might not be everything..i personally had experience with to go for a top brand with thier flagship film with 70% VLT and similar TSER spec with Vk Elite..on paper shud be a close fight..but in real world is a huge diff..end up after driving for a month i ask the same installer stripe off and top up to redo it again for me with thier flagship VLT 40 film..  

for best clarity and legal film, i would dare to say that VK elite is still d best, if the price tag doesnt put u off..or else have to go for other brands with lower VLT in order to achieve similar heat rejection but risk of JPJ and stuff..but just think of it if VK Elite can do such a wonderful job what could a VK55 or 40 with lower VLT could achieve..i believe spec on paper is just for published, real or fake for a norm consumer is kinda hard to verified till we experience it..just like some leading cars manufacturer quoted 200hp can out perform a wannabe manufacturer 250hp car specced on paper  

on average cheaper or more exp than cars for same spec

Correct me if I'm wrong but no matter how good the heat rejection is if you were to park your car under the hot sun for 2-3 hours or longer, the inside of the car will still be equally hot, correct?
If yes, then there's not really much point in getting the highest heat rejection unless your daily drive is always 1-2 hours (maybe traveling highway) in the car and you don't want to be burn out by the sun.

jpj will not saman u on the spot. they will issue letter to ask u go for inspection in one of the JPJ office. U need to tear off all the tint and go for inspection with no tint. Then after that they will issue you a letter of clearance, then u can go back to tint shop and tint again

If you ignore the letter to go for inspection, most likely they will blacklist you car and not sure if can renew roadtax after that

i have no experience with police kacau tint.

sooo, yesterday i take new car with the tinting all siap few days b4. then my bad for not reading the warranty card b4 hand la, i go put the suction cup on the tint so now got big bubble liao.
Luckily its on the top part of the front window behind the mirror dark part, so not so obvious la.
So I think this 1 most probably not covered warranty liao.
Would it affect the whole tint if I leave the bubble like that? or should I go pop the bubble myself?
If no suction cup can be put on a tint window, then dash cam how to install since most using suction or stick method?

Doing 3M Crystaline/Scotchshield all around for midsize SUV... got offered RM2000...

But problem with 3M is not friendly to SmartTag.. thinking of changing the windscreen only to Vkool maybe Elite (thats the best?). Tint provider asking for RM300 extra for that option...

Cause I know 3M warranty comes direct from 3M... so the dealer doesnt matter.

Got quoted RM3800 for 3M Crystalline 70 (FW, BW) side scotshield crystalline 40. Any advise guys? My car is a cx5 2018. Feel the price is sky high

my car hasn't arrive yet .. whole car C40 will get heart attack everytime i see jpj blocking the road. xD

40 for windscreen too?    or just windows and rear?

in this case your roadtax will be very dark and hard to see.... jpj/police allow this?

Huper Optik C70 Review:

I just installed HO C70 for my Front wind screen as the old one was removed when I replaced my windscreen. Previously using VKool Elite and all thensode windows are now still using VKool Elite that is already 7 years old. VKool Elite still good and reject heat very well, no discolouration what so ever.

As for HO C70, after 2 days of using and passing 8 toll plazas, initially for the few toll plaza the Smart Tag works, though a bit slowly, but after that it just stopped working under the C70 HO tint, battery life of my Smart Tag still good, so now I have to wind down window and hold up the Smart Tag to make it work. Was really surprised as the reason I opted for HO is for their Ceramic tint which say to work well with Smart Tag, but it’s not the case. Really inconvenient. Even the installer had slight doubt before installing, he told me errrr...HO has upgraded their tint and might not work well with Smart Tag. Too late now.

As for heat rejection, VKool definitely is better and the vision is also clearer compared to HO.

To whoever wanted to install HO C70 for FWS, take note and think twice.

Do insurance claim of windscreen include the tint also?

btw.. want to ask if it is possible to add a safety film after car is tinted with solar film?
