QUOTE(widget @ Dec 30 2017, 12:10 AM) From Eastman Chemical website, it stated that Vkool and Llumar are both under Eastman umbrella. Yes, Eastman Chemical is smart ass so they have Never thought that they both are under the same holding company High End Mid End Low End Can fullfill the market needs, they have Huper Optik (Ceramic) and Suntek under their company as well. They are just like 3M whereas have over 100 ++ product under their name |

QUOTE(swine @ Dec 30 2017, 10:52 AM) been a loyal vkool user here..had it on 3 cars all with FULL vkool elite.. All this while they all have been talking about BTU meter, IRR meter etc etc. Have you guy think of absorbing rate of the window film? i would say the heat rejection is impressive considering is a VLT70% film..i would dare to say it is the BEST out there where others cant really compete wit using the same thier highest range of 70% VLT film..when i say this i was quoting it the rivals leading brands that u guys can think of in the market.. spec on paper might not be everything..i personally had experience with to go for a top brand with thier flagship film with 70% VLT and similar TSER spec with Vk Elite..on paper shud be a close fight..but in real world is a huge diff..end up after driving for a month i ask the same installer stripe off and top up to redo it again for me with thier flagship VLT 40 film.. for best clarity and legal film, i would dare to say that VK elite is still d best, if the price tag doesnt put u off..or else have to go for other brands with lower VLT in order to achieve similar heat rejection but risk of JPJ and stuff..but just think of it if VK Elite can do such a wonderful job what could a VK55 or 40 with lower VLT could achieve..i believe spec on paper is just for published, real or fake for a norm consumer is kinda hard to verified till we experience it..just like some leading cars manufacturer quoted 200hp can out perform a wannabe manufacturer 250hp car specced on paper This just simple test to show how fast the film been able to reflect the heat just using a heat lamp and a carbon receipt. I have personally tested V-Kool Elite with others branded tint which have same thickness and VLT but none of them could last against it. I do agree that V-Kool price tag always is main issue to some consumer especially those with zero knowledge of windows film. We are celebrating 25th Anniversary in YR 2018, if our product is not good how the heck does it survive for such long period? |

QUOTE(CherryD @ Jan 11 2018, 10:17 AM) Guys, https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry87490398Correct me if I'm wrong but no matter how good the heat rejection is if you were to park your car under the hot sun for 2-3 hours or longer, the inside of the car will still be equally hot, correct? If yes, then there's not really much point in getting the highest heat rejection unless your daily drive is always 1-2 hours (maybe traveling highway) in the car and you don't want to be burn out by the sun. Opinions? Refer this pages on car tint advice topic The air flow of the car moving is far much better than the car on parking. Moreover, your cabin temperature is cooler with a good windows film while moving because the windows film is working along with your car air conditioner. |

QUOTE(WannaGetBuffed @ Jan 12 2018, 01:40 PM) jpj will not saman u on the spot. they will issue letter to ask u go for inspection in one of the JPJ office. U need to tear off all the tint and go for inspection with no tint. Then after that they will issue you a letter of clearance, then u can go back to tint shop and tint again True, but 40% OTR is fine based on my experience. If you ignore the letter to go for inspection, most likely they will blacklist you car and not sure if can renew roadtax after that i have no experience with police kacau tint. |

QUOTE(+ @ Jan 24 2018, 11:48 AM) sooo, yesterday i take new car with the tinting all siap few days b4. then my bad for not reading the warranty card b4 hand la, i go put the suction cup on the tint so now got big bubble liao. You can try send back for warranty claim. Do not touch anything before you send back for warranty claim. Luckily its on the top part of the front window behind the mirror dark part, so not so obvious la. So I think this 1 most probably not covered warranty liao. Would it affect the whole tint if I leave the bubble like that? or should I go pop the bubble myself? If no suction cup can be put on a tint window, then dash cam how to install since most using suction or stick method? As for the dash cam installation you have 2 choices here 1. Wait for the film curing period (normally 2-3 weeks completely dry) and once stick just remain at the same place. 2. Use double side tape. |

QUOTE(MeToo @ Jan 26 2018, 12:25 PM) Doing 3M Crystaline/Scotchshield all around for midsize SUV... got offered RM2000... This is interesting, which shop are so good and provide 2 big brand at the same time But problem with 3M is not friendly to SmartTag.. thinking of changing the windscreen only to Vkool maybe Elite (thats the best?). Tint provider asking for RM300 extra for that option... VKool + 3M ... we are not even having the same Principal company |

QUOTE(MeToo @ Jan 26 2018, 06:34 PM) Huh? What I mean is when you are trying to install 2 International Brand on the same car, the Principal will not U mean for VKool? Cause I know 3M warranty comes direct from 3M... so the dealer doesnt matter. How about Vkool? acknowledge the warranty claim. If everyone is doing business like the dealer means Honda can sell Toyota in their showroom as well. So does it make sense to you? I am just highlight the problem you probably going to face in the future only. But if you don't mind then there is no harm doing it as well. |

QUOTE(wyshin88 @ Apr 1 2018, 01:56 AM) Huper Optik C70 Review: Have you try to change new battery? Its weird that Ceramic 70 cant go through Smart Tag unless they install Sech 60 for youI just installed HO C70 for my Front wind screen as the old one was removed when I replaced my windscreen. Previously using VKool Elite and all thensode windows are now still using VKool Elite that is already 7 years old. VKool Elite still good and reject heat very well, no discolouration what so ever. As for HO C70, after 2 days of using and passing 8 toll plazas, initially for the few toll plaza the Smart Tag works, though a bit slowly, but after that it just stopped working under the C70 HO tint, battery life of my Smart Tag still good, so now I have to wind down window and hold up the Smart Tag to make it work. Was really surprised as the reason I opted for HO is for their Ceramic tint which say to work well with Smart Tag, but it’s not the case. Really inconvenient. Even the installer had slight doubt before installing, he told me errrr...HO has upgraded their tint and might not work well with Smart Tag. Too late now. As for heat rejection, VKool definitely is better and the vision is also clearer compared to HO. To whoever wanted to install HO C70 for FWS, take note and think twice. |

QUOTE(mr_geforce @ Apr 3 2018, 01:02 AM) Yes you can but the consequences might be 1) Product warranty will void 2) It might be affecting your power window in long term (total thickness 1st layer + 2nd layer does not exceed 8Mil should be ok) 3) The safety film not only come with thickness but also the adhesive to enhance grip on the window. For example, installing solar film first then safety film will less effective vs safety film first then solar film. |
