What are the 'higher' standard tints and how much do they generally cost?

Is the vkool kepong shop an official partner?

HAMEL okay or not ya? price seems cheap and got long warranty.

Just asked Totalgard unfortunately they do not open on weekend, that's kinda weird for such business not to open at weekend or at least Saturday. Anyway I am not available on weekday for next few weeks so I have to resort to other brands which is around RM 1k.

Currently based on my own research I have narrow down to Hamel and Lavish Films which have workshop in PJ and their tint can provide around 50% TSER at RM1K range. Anyone has any experience on these 2 brands especially long term reliability? Or have other affordable brands to recommend? TQ

Would like to ask, is your phone signal / smart tag / GPS signals affected after using the front windscreen VKool?
I opted for Hamel last time bcos it is nano ceramic which shouldnt affect all these signals, but since the front change to VKool, I would like to know does it affect these signals?

So meaning if next time i need to retint my front windscreen, need to avoid VKool and opt for those non metallic films

Anyone here tried Llumar tinted ATR20 for whole car windows? Wonder VTL21% will looked nice on white civic car or not, and will it difficult to see during night time?

Now dilemma between go for 35% or 20% VTL on whole car.. in term of looking nice and viewing at night.

Heard some people said if too dark tinted, the car will looked like lala style also.

BTW wanna ask, is V-kool elite still having problem with GPS reception?

My last experience was like 10-15 years ago, where the blockage of GPS signal was driving me crazy 

anyone can recommend a place to claim warranty on chipped but not cracked windscreen?
Want to change along with degraded performance tint.

After contemplating the 378 pages, I am leaning towards VK for the Corolla Cross.

FWS : V 55
FS & RS : V30
RWS : V30

Really appreciate if fellow users, SA or (anyone for that matter) could comment about the following points-

1. You guys think the configuration can detect Smart Tag? Mine is the old bulky one. Yes I dont mind slowing down at the gate or holding the smart tag close to the windscreen.

2. More importantly, confirm no issue with phone GPS connection?

3. Would prefer darker one than the 35.8% VLT of the V30 for RWS. Any advice from sifus? Is there a V20 or V10?

I am in Setapak area. Can anyone recommend where I should go for a good deal and decent workmanship?

Planning to collect the car tomorrow and straightaway go tint. Not really in a hurry tho.

Guys for V Kool - are you able to use smart tag and Waze inside the car with V Kool installed?

Just had my myvi tinted with V-Kool elite, any way to check if the built in smart tag still functioning without going through the toll? doesnt want to cause a jam LOL

Guys, can you recommend a good tint for Toyota Alphard? Currently Im using V-kool Elite (windscreen) + other cheaper tint on the sides and rear on one my car. V-kool elite definitely is a trusted product, but I would also like to hear from others brand and specs.

I started to survey and found a shop offer me Vkool Elite (windscreen) + REM 55 or REM 40 (sides + rear) for RM2300. Anyone what brand is this REM 55? Don't think it is a V-kool product. Another shop quoted V-kool Elite 96 (which i never found this anywhere on the web) + nano ceramic for the rest for only RM1300. Such a big difference, the shop claimed the nano ceramic brand is actually an American brand.

Put aside the jpj/puspakom compliant factor, which one has better heat performance?

1. VK55 (FWS) + VK40 (front side)
2. V-kool Elite (FWS) + VK40 (front side)

I got the quote for both combo above, the #1 is higher price by rm500 compared to #2. Is VK55 better performance than Elite?
They told me VK55 is latest Solitaire series as compare to Elite which is Serendipity series (older model).

My quote from Tint-Shop was different. Only Elite 70/73 was cheaper by $500. VK55/40/30 were the same price.
