Many tinted over claim their IRR, so far tested raytech seems to be more reasonable around 5 to 10% differences, others mark up like 30% I don't want mention their name =.="

Hi, there is other customer has visited our shop to see our demo. Above is his comment. You are welcome to visit our shop to feel the heat rejection of the window film personally. We will use BTU solar meter to test it for you to see.

If you want to see the Raytech Ultra 70 performance, you can watch below video:

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Aug 22 2017, 11:13 AM)
My tint on rear windscreen, next day after tinting noticed got a bubble about 1.5cm long and 1mm wide. Will it go away after a while, or should I send back ask the installer "push" it out?
*
There is 2 types of bubbles on the window film.

a) Dirt Bubbles - Normally will not disappear, can claim workmanship warranty and need retint.

b) Air Bubbles - Normally will disappear within 3-4 days for SOLAR film.
- Normally will not disappear for SAFETY film, unless u can wait for few months.

Last advice, if you not sure what kind of bubble is it, and the bubble still there after 1 week, it is advice to drive back the car to the tinting shop and ask for warranty claim. Normally, they will fix back for you smile.gif

hello guys.need some advice here

Need help for Honda Civic 2017 tinting options:-
1) JPJ Compliance
2) Security Tint for side windows
3) Able to use GPS and Smart tag
4) Budget around 1-2k

SA suggests to me to use raytech FX which costs me around rm1410 after discount, because of the 7 years warranty

Honda authorized Window Tint which is Ecotint RB4 costs me around rm1500 with 5 years warranty ( light green )

anyone have experience with raytech before here? i dont want tinted which is colourless, btw raytech comes with light blue colour bt i have not seen it .

thanks so much for your feedback
*
Hi bro, thank you for your interest in Raytech products. From our BTU (500) meter testing, the performance of Raytech FX is better than some other brand's top range products. You are welcome to visit our shop to see product demonstration smile.gif

Bro. Saw your other page on raytech. So you issue 2d barcode now?
Which of your film  can pass JPJ, Puspakom?
*
Hi bro, the new standard (MS 2669:2017) will launch in 2018. Now still in processing stage. All of Raytech products are certified products and will be issued with AAA QR codes stickers. We will announce here once the new policy has launched smile.gif

with this code does that mean puspakom n jpj sure no issue
*
Yes, the window film came with the QR code stickers means can pass Puspakom and JPJ rules.

Here are the Benefit of MS 2669

-Product tested and certified by MS 2669 requirement Test.
-Good Quality Product with good heat rejection and can be last at least 5 years without bubbling.
-Protect consumer for not being cheated with low grade film or fake IRR/TSER reading.
-Easy operation for JPJ enforcement
-Pass JPJ & Puspakom rules.

I have a post in my thread about the briefing of MS2669 standard. You can read the info there smile.gif

How much extra per car will be charged due to MS2669?
*
Hi, based on current situation, most probably the price will be remained same. The testing report cost should bear by seller side instead of consumer. This new standard was designed to protect consumer for not being cheated in purchasing window film product. Cap ayam brand products are totally out because their films cannot pass the test. Most of the consumer will not study or survey window film info very detail before purchase, I think it can bring most benefit to consumer in long run smile.gif

i was wondering, most car tint focus on side window, example i buy mid to high end tint. yes side window TSER % is high, but then front windscreen still standard that come with the tinting package, i mean whatz the point. front window still feel hot @.@
*
Hi, the reason of side window TSER % is higher is because the VLT % is lower. Darker film has lower heat resistance. This is to compliance the JPJ regulations smile.gif

Yes, this fall under wear n tear.  I believe all tint film heat rejection will drop after 2 years. Only high quality film maybe drop 5~20%% , low quality film maybe drop 80~90 % .

For those car always park under sunlight, performance will drop faster then those car park indoor.
*
True. It's fact that the fall under wear and tear. The performance of high quality film maybe drop in small percentage yearly but low quality film will drop significantly in 2 years smile.gif

if there is a slight small chip in my front windshield screen, can i still able to tint my screen?
*
Hi bro, you have to repair the small chip before do tinting. It's because we will use the hot gun during tinting process. It may cause the crack bigger. If the small chip is too long already, should be cannot repair it smile.gif

Hi bro, the new policy will launch in Jan 2018. Raytech films can pass for JPJ enforcement, but not covered to Puspakom inspection smile.gif

please advise, tq
*
Hi bro, thanks for your inquiry. The QR code sticker will be issued to customer who tinted the car on next year only. But don't worry because all of Raytech films are passed the MS2669 requirements smile.gif

Hope the Raytech and/or V-Cool rep here can answer my query...

Under the new JPJ 2018 rules, min. VLT still at 70 front/50 front sides/30 rear sides and rear?

Under your product line-up, what's the darkest tint that can pass the new ruling and can get the barcode sticker?

Please advise notworthy.gif

Add: 1 thing I find funny, my previous car tinted by Llumar, they actually tinted my whole car with VLT 50 tints...which basically means my front windscreen tint cannot pass JPJ/Puspakom, yet they gave my JPJ warranty on my invoice rclxub.gif
*
Hi bro, thanks for your inquiry. In Raytech, all of our products can pass the latest JPJ requirements. But the QR code stickers will be issued for customer in 2018 only.

Darkest tint of Raytech products can pass the new ruling:
Windscreen: Ultra 70, Q70, M70, F70, A70
Driver side windows: RX, QX, MX, FX, AX
Rear passenger windows: RX(Black), QX(Black), MX(Black), FX(Black), AX(Black)
Rear Screen: RC(Black), QC(Black), MC(Black), FC(Black), AC(Black)

It's depending on your budget bro smile.gif

I won't recommend Raytech. Already on the highest range Rx still feel the burns.

should have just stick to my good old huper sad.gif

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. You can send your car back to Raytech shops to have BTU meter testing on the films. I suggest you can add another layer of darker tint if you don't want too much sunlight come into the car smile.gif

Boss, what is the purpose of the BTU meter testing after installing the tint?

Add another layer of darker tint need to add $?
*
BTU meter can show how much heat can resist by the window film. Cuz you mentioned you still feel burn and we have to make sure you get the right product. The reading in BTU meter of Raytech RX is even much better than the products you recommended. I can pm you the test result if u you want smile.gif

Add another layer of darker tint need extra cost. And it will not compliance with JPJ rules if do so. A window film with low VLT% and high IRR% always has the best performance in heat rejection smile.gif

Ceramic 60 for front, Ceramic 40 for driver& passenger, Ceramic 30 for all back

The suggestion above are not JPJ friendly nor compliant but very cooling and comfortable to block sun ray in the hot afternoon. No burns at all in the afternoon sun.

I did a review of HO after 7 years+ of usage. Deteriorates after 5 years but still better than other brand i used.

I have not used any security series from HO as installer say they kinda suck in heat rejection compared to normal HO. Maybe some rich forummer would like to try and review.
*
Oh i see bro. I wondered why you said RX will feel still burn after tinted because the VLT is follow the JPJ regulation. Your suggestion of the H brand combination is not compliance with JPJ rules. VLT for Front is VLT60% and driver & passenger is VLT42% hmm.gif
