Indeed. I have actually spent 2 weeks time to do a price survey + drop by a few shops to compare on quality for 6 popular brands in klang valley area and put them up here.
But unfortunately got deleted.

Anyway as a consumer, to lower the risk of getting counterfeit product, the only things we can do are:
1. buy reputable brands
2. go to authorized dealer listed on official website
3. double check if the product offered is listed on official website.

To get best price, walk in on your own.

Then decide which brand to get.

Just sharing my bad experience with my tinting done on Raytech Puchong.

Last Saturday we arrived at the shop around 1pm, enquire for their products. After some negotiation, we decided to do it. So we ask it is possible to do it today? The sales girl say yes, but we need to give them some time, about 4 to 5 hours should be done. We say ok, paid in full and walk over to IOI mall and spend some time there. Before we left, we told them where we park, which we double park outside their shop.

After a movie and a meal, we came back around 4.30pm. We were shock when we saw our car is still double park at the same exact position. We went in to the shop and ask, apparently the sales girl left early, and the other guy behind the counter is not aware of our car needs to do tinting. He then calls the sales girl and after a while, our car gets in and one guy start doing work on our car.

While we were waiting, we chat with other customer there. The other customer said he were suprise they start doing our car, as he said our car number is not on the whiteboard. Apparently all cars on that day suppose to have their details on the whiteboard and the film they choose. He also told us that his appointment is 11am, but his car only started on around 1pm or 2pm, and at 5pm, he is still waiting for his car to be done.

Long story short, we were furious our car was left there without anyone notice. Imagine if somebody left some mark on our car because of blocking their way. The sales girl promised us to give her 4 to 5 hours and will done, but she left without informing anyone about our car. The way we see it, she just want our sales and left without any responsibility on it. I had a good experience with them before this, but now no more.

Hi bro, it's really sorry for the things happened in my shop, actually the shortage of technician on that day causes the delay of your car tinting process. Raytech is really care our customer feedback. We will improve the arrangement for the sequences on those car to do tinting in coming time.

Due to always peak on weekend, customer can book appointment with me first before your visiting. Hopefully I can provide my good services to my customer smile.gif

Hi sir, could you advise me the difference between Raytech Ultra 70 and Ultra 80 especially the TSER and InfraRed specification?

The reason is because today I went to Raytech SS2 as per our conversation and arrangement. I tried out the Ultra70 in the demo room and I like that alot. So I ask them to do the Ultra 70 for my front windscreen. After an hour or so, the tint is done but I was surprised that the they tinit my windscreen using Ultra80 instead of Ultra70...The lady says because for smartag, it is better to use Ultra80...but i did not want to argue that i wanted Ultra70 because I have a lunch to go to....could you advise me the difference in spec for TSER and IRR for Ultra80 and 70?

Hi bro, normally if add second layer tint which is Raytech product will not void the warranty. But the warranty period will counted based on the date of your first layer tinted. Raytech will not give the warranty for JPJ summons as the VLT might lower than the JPJ requirement. If possible, you can PM your contact, I will contact you personally to understand your case. Thanks smile.gif

I want to say that Raytech have replaced my tint with Ultra70 without any additional cost. They contacted me immediately upon reading my comment on Low Yat forum and arrangement for replacement was done without hassle. Thumbs up for Raytech's customer service.

I'm using Raytech FX for my Peugeot 508, generally very good heat rejection. Got it for RM1500 at Kajang branch. Was struggling to choose between Llumar and Raytech, ended up with Raytech because the sales person follow up really closely and being quite flexible with pricing. Llumar quote me RM2100 for similar spec.

I am shopping for tint for my Toyota Vellfire. I like classy charcoal black tint and not those tint with greenish, bluish or other hues. I also prefer security film for the sides and medium dark tint for the sunroofs.

If there is any seller in this forum, please PM me your quotation. Tq.
