okay, so ur trying to imply that setup wiv cable can deliver more performance than plug and play type?
*
no, i said cable must be present in order to activate SLI/Crossfire and this only applies for Alienware M18x/18. Y510P/410P is more likely a plug and play setup.

i hope you understand the bold part.

welcome back to the thread. currently, there is no suggestion changes made to fit your sister's criteria. newer gen processors are still a long way to go.

just as what i expected, my sister doesnt like inspiron 7000 because of no cd rom and also she doesnt laptop without removable battery  sad.gif it seems like inspiron 14r fit her quite well but she doesnt like the design  doh.gif then we walk pass a lenovo shop, i kinda poisoned by the salesman when he showed me thinkpad v480 and some of its... well, unique features (to be honest, i got poisoned because of "thinkpad" XD), i7 version also within our budget. may i know how is lenovo's after sales service support in malaysia (or Oz)?
*
Lenovo's aftersales service is average and better than ASUS.
well, not sure about your sis's opinion because i already did what i can do.

1. Preferred Brand: Any

2. Budget: RM2000 - 2500

3. Usage: Gaming

4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 15/16inch

Which has better quality/user friendly between these two laptop? Reason?

Lenovo Z510, i5-4200M + Nvidia GT740M@RM2399[2.2kg], 4GB, 1TB, backlit, W8; 2 yrs, color: white
Msi CX61-2OD-078MY, i5-4200M + Nvidia GT740M@RM2199, 4GB, 500GB, anti-glare, W8
*
i will prefer to take MSI. its a little more cheaper, easy disassembly, anti-glare screen and thicker than Lenovo Z510 (better ventilation).

as for Lenovo Z510, it is lighter, has backlit keyboard and better aftersales service.

2. Budget: RM3k+ but less than RM4k
3. Usage: University usage with ProE usage where it requires decent specs to run properly.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 15inch would be perfect. Something that is reasonably easy to carry around.

Thanks in advance.

ASUS and Acer comes with more worse spec and rather pricey (ASUS), not really recommended.
and yes, you can change the Lenovo's HDD.
