I'm not sure if the NA uses timing chain. On cold starts, chain tends to sound loud a bit. Then when it gets lubricated after a few seconds of starting, the sound disappears.

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Apr 15 2014, 06:20 PM) i think there will be 2 sedans in their global line up soon. the 308 sedan (which is already testing in china) and the 408GT (which comes in the form of the exalt concept for now) which is a sorta sporty sedan. previously, the 308 sedan was a china only car (china did not have the current malaysia generation 308 - they prefer sedans to hatches) while the 408 was in markets out of europe. QUOTE(chaostan @ Apr 18 2014, 09:06 PM) here you go:http://www.carnewschina.com/2014/04/17/spy...naked-in-china/ i find it disappointing. the rear looks so teana/new sylphy ish. and the front is so generic that you can slap a hyundai badge on it and nobody will think otherwise. some may like it though. QUOTE(mtbk3 @ May 15 2014, 04:57 PM) Hi Guys, AT6 is Peugeot's own code name for the Aisin box. It is like calling a Lancer an Inspira or a Wira. Some thing to read about our gearbox.... 1) Paul Tan's page says our GB can take up to 300nm torque http://paultan.org/2010/01/27/peugeot-intr...6-6-speed-auto/ 2) In the aisin website, there is no gb named AT6. Closest is TF-80SC under the FWD category. It can take up to 400nm torque. http://www.aisin-aw.co.jp/en/products/driv...neup/index.html 3) Then wikipedia says the gb used in our 408 is AWTF-80SC, also states that it can take up to 400nm torque http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AWTF-80_SC So actually, which is our gb??? and what is the real max torque our gb can take??? |

QUOTE(jfcheong @ May 17 2014, 09:19 AM) Normal service cost around Rm400 to Rm500. the 6-speed transmission oil has come down by about half. i know this for a fact That Rm3k is major service. However, due to the sourcing of the GB oil, the cost is bringing down. Mostly likely cost less than Rm2k. P/S: Peugeot is currently offering free service (include parts and labor) for 5 years. |

i have been telling owners that airing dirty laundry in public is going to hurt them more than the company. the company can always in a worst case scenario, abandon the brand and take up another brand. then the main losers would be the owners who would be left without any support and nobody will want to buy their cars. it will also affect those who have no problems whatsoever with their cars.
vw owners have now done it. i guess it is something that they will have to live with. |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Jun 11 2014, 04:24 PM) not sure if they will be selling total quartz ineo first. it is the latest (and best) and as far as i know, total would only sell this oil through official franchise holders. it is not cheap and is positioned higher than the current top notch oil they have. |
