One question: What is the method that you guys used when washing the car?
1) Like a bangla holding a wash mitt and rotating clockwise like crazy?
2) Wash in a straight line with shampoo/water spraying on the mitt ?

Any recommendation for car wash product?

1 liter Rm60-80 About that price is ok...but due to white car need high maintenance..else it will go yellowish. i just go for normal car wash, and simple waxing once a week...make sure it dont spoilt the paint can already ><

Between permanon and meg ulti wax,

which one is more durable? for duarable i mean like tahan at least 3-4 months in our weather.

Last time using meg gold class, max 3 weeks then can see the water beading effect diminished. Looking for a more durable wax as i living in an apartment and car detailing is painfully inconvenient

Wash weekly with nxt wash wax. Just no quick detailing top up. Any problem with that beside no QD top up?

Want to ask do you guys use only one pad for one and only one product?
For instance, you have a cutting pad A for product A, pad A since bought new only used with product A.
Then now you purchased some product B, which is same cutting power like product A. Do you wash your pad A thoroughly and use pad A for product B, or you would invest into another new cutting pad B for product B only?
And then so on and so forth for product C, product D, etc... (I cant imagine how many pads will end up in your room, but this seems to be encouraged in western country forum community to avoid contamination).

sigh, price of meg here kena jacked up high high.. i was surprised to find it cause less than rm60 for most of its product line sold at amazon. Anyone here engage fwd service to buy from amazon?

guys, just noticed a rather large patch of scratches on the upper side of the rear door of my car =( the scratch pattern is consistent with someone wiping "something" off my car with a rough cloth and without any liquid whatsoever.

now the thing is this, i've been washing my car weekly and quick wax monthly and in all these instances, not noticed this patch until earlier today ='(

anyone knows anybody from around Subang area which can help me remove this patches of scratches? Also, is that place good for a polishing and waxing job? It's been almost 5 months now since my car got its last treatment =)

Some findings from me after using permanon diamond for the 2nd week,

silky effect lost after 1 week esp the front panels which constantly get 'sand blasted' while traveling. For Top, side and back panels, it is still there but have been reduced dramatically compared to what i had felt the first 3 days.
Water beading is still there. But the beads is not as tight after the 1st week.

This week, i tried to recoat the whole car again to give it another chance. This time, i bathed it with diluted hecta PL(APC), hopefully I would get a better result

hi all the sifus here, wanna ask a few questions here, my questions may be answered a few times or maybe alot of times here but i dont really get any specific answer for what i want..haha..so pls bear with me.

1. my car is around 7mths old adi and its white in colour, would like to ask whether isit ok to polish it and wax it using paste wax? what wax are the most suitable ones.

2. i've been using meguiars ultimate quik wax and ultimate quick detailer for past 7mths, however due to my house parking, my front bonnet is exposed to sunlight and rain therefore its having stains of watermark and abit yellowish, other parts are ok, should i polish and wax the whole car or just the front part?

If ur post was referring to me...are the wax (conventional wax) considered as permanent coating? If yes, is there any other ways to clean off the current wax before i apply a new one? I know the clay or using dishwash detergent can strip off the wax...but since im living in high rise building (using nr to wash my car) its kinda difficult for me to use the normal method to wash my car...and as for clay i also tot its not recommended to do it often as it can inflict swirl?

Or should i apply a new wax on top of the existing one without stripping off the current?

My typical washing routine items:

Now using 4 buckets system, 2 for wheels 2 for body.
But I am interested with your bucket. Where do you get it? It looks like it was originally used to fill other chemical stuff like paint.
I was once searching for it but could not find it. Then I accidentally came across this tesco bucket, I even bring my grit guard to test.
The bucket from tesco 5 gallons, less than RM10 if I recall correctly.
