QUOTE(jenwai @ Dec 13 2013, 08:25 AM) Hi, Welcome. Please register yourself in page 1 post 4.Just got this baby yesterday. Just a dumb question. Since the port (microUSB v3.0) is different. Can I use other charger (microUSB v2.0) to charge this phone? Yes you can use a usb 2 cable to charge the phone. The usb 3 port is to allow for faster connection. But for charging you can use either. I am using note 2 usb cable to charge it when I am not at home. |

QUOTE(jenwai @ Dec 13 2013, 08:39 AM) Thanks!! There is no concern on voltage. What about the voltage? Do I need to worry about it? I sort of feel that since Note 2's charger can charge faster than my previous old charger. QUOTE(sendoh_7 @ Dec 13 2013, 09:03 AM) Hey man Its just preference. For me swiftkey have better predictions for typing. But if you like swiping Swype keyboard is much better and accurate. Also 3rd party keyboard can change theme.I nvr use 3rd party swype keyboard. .just use samsung May I know what is the advantage of the 3rd party keyboard? Just preferences? I like the stock keyboard. . The suggestion and swiping accuracy is good |

QUOTE(jenwai @ Dec 13 2013, 09:19 AM) Then I think it must be cause by the "Original" charger and OEM charger. OEM charger are fine for me. You can use Galaxy charging current (gcc) app to check the charging amp and you can see that it is working as per normal. I used to use an OEM charger and always feel that they are a bit slow in charging. What do you people think if this Touchpal X? I find it quite user friendly and it's free. QUOTE(jychow @ Dec 13 2013, 09:20 AM) Perhaps you can try moving all your mp3 to another folder using the file explorer in your phone. It may help. He already solved it. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Dec 13 2013, 09:40 AM) Swiftkey is great on accuracy, but too bad it not support Chinese input till now, switching keyboard is too troublesome to me, so I already stop using Swiftkey as I need Chinese input. Yeah this is the major setback for swiftkey. They said working on it for over 1 year liau still no news. This post has been edited by antt00: Dec 13 2013, 09:46 AM |

QUOTE(KMercury @ Dec 13 2013, 02:51 PM) I guess today is my lucky day. Since my KNOX binary already long gone. Tried to flash Malaysia's MJ7 firmware early this morning but i softbrick my phone and unable to boot up. Keep on boot-looping although already hard reset the phone. Bring it to Samsung SC in Sungai Petani. And guess what, they dont know a single thing about the KNOX trip. So they decided to change the mobo to a new one and now my KNOX binary is back to 0x0 BTW its weird your phone got corrupted until the SC also cannot reflash the rom. Sounds like a rare hardware failure. When you first get into bootloop were you flashing using MOP?Also they change the mainboard but flash MJ1 rom for you? Lucky they never straight away update to MJ7. |

And to all knox virgin out there, designgear had stated that he has NO WAY to trick the new bootloader as it has been patched and also knows NO WAY to revert knox back to 0x0. So take care to keep the old bootloader intact. Hopefully samsung dun implement anything that needs a new bootloader anytime soon.

QUOTE(bushyboy105 @ Dec 13 2013, 10:51 PM) any benefit buying Note 3 from MAXIS regardless of price? It all depends on the package and your own monthly usage. You should be able to do your own calculation on whether it's worth it for you as only you know your own monthly usage. will they have 1 on 1 exchange when got problem? There is no 1 on 1 exchange unless you buy their phone insurance and even then it depends on the terms of coverage. All warranty still goes back to samsung. |

QUOTE(pokemon01234 @ Dec 14 2013, 01:24 AM) You do not need to go to such extent. The reason why even sammobile does not post md5 is because it is embedded in the tar.md5 already and odin will check it before adding the file to flash. There is no need for user intervention. QUOTE(sadaniel @ Dec 14 2013, 07:51 AM) Its been out a few days already. If you dun care about rooting while maintaining warranty please proceed. |

QUOTE(zanarkand @ Dec 14 2013, 11:19 AM) Try to upgrade with kies or odin. QUOTE(avaultz @ Dec 14 2013, 11:20 AM) the new firmware updates drain battery insanely while on standby. consumed 48% batt while on standby mode for 8 hours... sigh Its not related to the update. It is something else that is draining your battery. |
