QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ Jan 17 2014, 08:14 PM) Actually you can consume all file formats without a problem as long you're on android and are able to access the play store or the very least able to install .apks. LG for better customer service? is it better than samsung?HTC for better build quality, LG for better customer service. Both usually lacks internal storage and comes with un-removable battery. |

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Jan 21 2014, 02:44 AM) Guys, really need a big help here, my note2 after use for 1 year and yesterday suddenly it restart own self and now stuck on the boots screen, it can't ever enter after I plug out my phone battery This is one of the symptoms that your motherboard problem.. and it is very normal and usual case for a Samsung product.. the very special and unbelievable thing is most cases are those phones that ngam ngam past one year or just past one year warranty.. so they need to pay for motherboard replacement or change phone.. my colleague S3 mini has the same symptoms like yours and luckily she bought under digi plan which gives two year warranty.. maybe i think too much why damsung product so fragile..is it a tactical move so that people can change phone every year? Only Samsung will know the answer.. producing a low quality product but sell at premium price is a very success buisness...What I do last year is just rooted and recover phone for add more apps into the multi window only, is that possible stil keep all my data as I didn't backup my contact =( For ur information this phone stil using the old jelly bean firmware Really need ur guys help |

If Vol up + home + power can't work, only thing you can do is flash a new ROM using Vol Down + power button + home button as stated by brother joytest

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jan 21 2014, 09:19 AM) It's just SDS IINM, and while it effects most Samsungs, I do know for a fact it doesn't happen to ALL of them. You have to be pretty lucky to get a long lasting unit however lol. I might get a nokia windows phone instead of samsung android phone if I don't want to show off my phone or fancy about the features...Even though producing phones with defective eMMC is suspect all in it's own, you must understand that all manufacturers are guilty of this "issue" to one degree or another. It's called planned obsolescence, and it's how manufacturers ensure that they get steady yearly profits. Though Sammy IS very good at it, I have to say. Does anybody even notice the fact that our prized AMOLEDs have a very short life span and degrade far faster compared to normal LCDs? Hmm? To be fair, the only phones manufactured to last years were the old Nokias and BlackBerries and look at where THAT got them as companies - one of them is completely dead and the other slowly bleeding dry. Looks like good engineering does not always equal good business. Which brings us to the sad truth: That 90% of people out there are more interested in getting shiny new features every year than getting a phone to last years in the first place. With that in mind, it really doesn't matter much now, does it? This post has been edited by tiensong: Jan 21 2014, 10:20 AM |

QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Jan 21 2014, 11:17 AM) Might to explain more how to done it? After root my phone last year, i don ever follow up how to do it le T_T In order to enter recovery mode, you will first have to turn off your device. Once it’s turned off, press volume up + power button + home button simultaneously and keep them pressed until you see the recovery mode. Once you’re there, get your hands off the buttons. This is everything you have to do and it might require a bit of skill, but after you do it for a few times it will feel much easier. |

Wipe cache partition
To wipe the cache partition, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the device. 2. Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key Home key Power key 3. When 'GALAXY Note II' appears on the screen, let go of the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key. 4. When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys. 5. Press the Volume Down key to highlight 'wipe cache partition.' 6. Press the Power key to select and wipe the cache. 7. With 'reboot system now' highlighted, press the Power key to restart the device. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jan 21 2014, 01:49 PM) Well the are varying levels of eMMC corruption leading up to full blown SDS ("critical" level corruption) like what your friend experienced. In the case of "heavy" eMMC corruption, you could still turn on your phone but it will bootloop after the "Note 2" startup screen and no amount of reflashing ROMs can save it. Hi, I can't understand why SDS still happen because Samsung already updated the fix in 4.1.2..So, no matter what kernel what fix been applied, the SDS still will happen? This is what happened to my old S3 and yeah it ended up getting a full board replacement because if it, thankfully for free since I was still under warranty. Not that it mattered much since I dropped and broke the S3 a few months after that anyway. This post has been edited by tiensong: Jan 22 2014, 03:40 PM |

QUOTE(aqblood @ Jan 23 2014, 11:53 AM) Hmmm, I have recently upgraded my note 2 to 4.3.. First of all, may I know you experience laggish interface right after your phone has updated to 4.3?Does anyone experience laggish interface after upgrading to android 4.3? I'm planning to perform an downgrade to 4.1.2 officla build via ODIN, is it possible with the KNOX Bootloader thingy? Thanks I don't know why some people complain about 4.3 update because in my opinion, it is a very stable and excellent update.. I believe there are other factors that cause the laggish like installed third party bad codding apps etc.. You may do wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition first before planning to downgrade..I don't think downgrade is a wise move because we need to move forward looking that 4.4 will release soon this year... |
