Guys i am dilemma whether should upgrade to note 3.

my note 2 been good to me till today.  I feel hard hearted to sell it off. Never send to Samsung sc before.

never had any issue.  Is it worth to replace note 2 with note 3?

after updated to 4.3 abit laggy beside that its excellent.

what you guys think? Need a 2nd opinion

After upgrade to 4.3 I notice note 2 abit laggy di.

I use my phone for working that's why I need it to be fast and smooth.

Sifu dont have 3 to 4 months. Estimated at least september or october 2014.  Still have at least 8 months to note 4 announcement.  If u saying s5 maybe 3 to 4 months.

I was on 4.1.2 and updated to 4.3 via OTA, tonnes of problem thereafter. Service center said can't revert back to 4.1.2 but they will reflash again with 4.3. All problems solved, seems I got bad updates from OTA

Guy, some comment on my battery usage below.

-My battery drained faster than usual since last night, so i charged to max which took about 4 hours from 25% to 100%.
-This morning, i woke up to 97% which is normal. However, it dropped to 75% within 3 hr 23 min with very minimal usage.

Stock unit. Any idea what happen and how to solve this? Thank you

No more dual screen in simple mode and my Note 2 felt like downgraded, solution would be read up "rooting guide" and root it like you and master/ guru/ sifu here.

also, unlike previous version, after updated, type single letter like "C" in phone book can only gets me to name started with "C" but no mandarin name that started "C" in han yu ping ying.

BTW, interesting read here, think I want to get one Moto G and wait for next Lenovo.

I m using Moto G as well. Got kitkat, no bloatware crap n u I r phone felt much much faster than note 2 4.3.

After downgraded tu 4.1.2, no more random reboots, force close etc.

Those who think to upgrade to 4.3, I advise not to do so. From my experience with flashing ROMs, note 2 4.3 are the crappiest ever.

While using 4.3 I can say it makes the phone laggy.  That one of the reason I switch to note 3.

When note 3 now have 4.4 there so much complaint about problem they face.

Even my note 3 running 4.3 I also feel its not butter smooth like note 2 on 4.2

I just got an update for official 4.3, small sized, around 40mb in size. The changelogs are not detailed though.

I don' know, one fine day I was playing my with my phone and then it prompted me to restart to install an update. It seems that the new update changed the baseband version to N7100XXUENA1, other than that, I don't know.

I just tested  two 4.3 TW ROMs, both based on DDUENA1 and with optional CSC features.
Wesamothman's Hurricane 9.2

This is the same guy who did the Thunder and Thunder Lite ROMs, which I have used for so long without any problem. Installation works without problems if you install the proper bootloader first. There is also an optional Note 3 app package.

This is most likely the ROM I will stick with from now on.

Dr. Ketan's Custom 4.3 ROM V6

Also an excellent ROM, very stable and fast. Low battery drain. The two things I am not that happy with are that you have no option not to install Note 3 apps and that his thread is a bit confusing in places (for example, with this guy I never know exactly which mods and fixes are already included in the ROM and which have to be installed separately. Pet peeve of mine)

Anyhow, I think both ROMs have exceptional performance. They contain no unnecessary eye candy and give you a lot of options to customise your phone (Hurricane a bit more than Ketan)

my wife's note 2 reboot itself when she put the phone in her handbag..
she said she heard the booting chime from her handbag few times last week.
but no problem when she put the phone on the desk.
lucky she didnt set pin password.. or else the phone will stuck at pin unlock screen..

is it something to do with 4.3 update. she never heard the boot chime before updating her phone.

actually, i think previous ones were mainly rumours or nothing that confirms N2 until this announcement... right?
