These are all apps from the Play Store.

App = Software.

App = Application = Program = Software.

Android = Software (specifically, an Operating System).

iOS = Software

Windows = Software

OSX = Software

Somebody please post some xda links for the updated flashing stuff...tomorrow I arrange it in post 7 for some clarity.

Happyshirt, if you are already rooted you can use Mobile Odin to flash a recovery.

You could also try Framaroot by XDA member alephzain, which is supposedly the easiest method to root.

UPDATE:

Philz 5.15 for 4.3. DO NOT USE th 6.xx versions as it is KitKat based, which is not compatible with the Note 2 bootloader.

Download version 5.15, zip or md5 depending on whether you already have a custom recovery.

You could try with a wet wipe (the type used to wipe babies' bottoms) but don't rub too hard or the liquid will be squeezed into the circuitry.

If the chrome comes off, you have no choice but to have it changed. Around RM150.

Have you ever synced your contacts to Gmail? If so then that's settled. If not, you could try making the phone boot into Recovery (Home + Power + Vol Up) and clear cache only, then reboot. If you cleared DATA, then it's all gone.

If not, then you could try some guys with JTAG services. There's a vendor in post 8 under "If you screwed up".

Vol down is the Download screen. If this can work, please flash a 4.1.2 rom or higher. You can get any of Dr . Ketan's or i9000's pre rooted roms.

It's generated by the system for gallery thumbnails. I delete it every now and then.

Have you googled for the solution?

I haven't googled anything about it. I simply use some root-capable file explorer and delete it when I think it's too big.

I think some users have reported a reflash is FOC, even for out of warranty phones.

You could also get a flashoholic to flash for you, or someone who knows these things.
