Tried new spot, not a good place though. Too many rubbish, but I took some shots now that I was there anyway. The day is ending by NurAzam, on Flickr Pantai Tok Bali by NurAzam, on Flickr QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Dec 15 2013, 12:00 AM) Wah, love the 2nd shot! It really is one fat spider haha Any shots of it showing the patterns on its abdomen? A bit curious as to what it is haha... Cause if I am not mistaken, this might be a nocturnal spider I think I have one, later I check and post in flickr. This post has been edited by copperwire93: Dec 15 2013, 11:08 PM

QUOTE(Koki @ Dec 16 2013, 12:15 AM) Here are some random shots for the my upcoming review After so many shots though, I can't seem to get the "just right" clarity in the photo. Already tried to decrease aperture and ISO while using a tripod to get clarity, but somewhat still doesn't hit the spot... Clarity as in most of the mobile in focus? If you're on tripod, then no need to adjust the ISO, just set it to the lowest possible. Be in Aperture Priority, and choose high value aperture (narrow) like f/16. Make the shutter in timer mode, focus then click the shutter away. Wait till the image perfectly processed before you touch your camera to prevent any camera shake which will result in image blur.

QUOTE(Koki @ Dec 16 2013, 12:26 AM) Seems like my aperture isn't low enough then. Thanks for the tip! Also dear copperwire93, nice shots! EDIT: Btw, do you all use Photoshop's lens correct profiles that are built into it? Because the Tamron 17-50mm lens caused a lot of vignetting and curving on pictures like the product's box and my table, so I just used that lens correction to fix it. Thanks. Also, a tip. Because the mobile has a rather long distance between the forth and the back, your point of focus also play the part. Get the focus point in between and experiment other point as well, use live view for better placement. I always do the lens profile correction. Unless if you're in JPEG, I think the firmware built-in automatically fix it.

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Dec 17 2013, 02:25 PM) Guys, any close up filter for my Nikkor 18-55mm VR kitlens? I remembered that PF T.J. mentioned before close up filter more worth than ET... Anyway, last Sunday i went to the camera shop to ask about the scratched focusing screen. He told me the scratches are very fine, no need to waste money for replacement, and it won't affect the operation and quality of the camera. So i stay there and chat with the boss there. We tested out the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G ED lens, and also try reverse adapter for that lens. The macro effect is amazing (at least for me la ) due to its manual large aperture. The price not too expensive also, really tempting to get one. End up i stay there for almost an hour and brought Nissin di622 mark ii back home. Now practicing in-door shooting using M mode. It's raynox, a macro adapter but the cost is near to the electronic ET. Products Shot by NurAzam, on Flickr I find reverse lens provides better magnification, but a horror for G lenses due to aperture control stuff.

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Dec 17 2013, 02:42 PM) Sorry, another question. For my kitlens, 18-55mm, f1:3.5-5.6. The former spec is focal length, latter is max aperture size, which is variable depends on focal length. Aperture size larger = more light can come in. At FL 18mm, aperture size is 18/3.5 = 5.14 At FL 55mm, aperture size is 55/5.6 = 9.82 Is it means at max zoom, the light enter the lens to the sensor suppose is more than when FL = 18mm?? Not sure I understand that but, basically, at the widest focal length (FL) 18mm, your aperture can be at widest 3.5. But when you zoom in to 55mm, the widest aperture only can be achieved at f/5.6. Which means, that more light can enter to your sensor at FL18 f/3.5 compared to when you're at 55mm at f/5.6. A problem for some people who shoots in lowlight. Hence, that is why manufacturer now producing zoom lenses with fixed aperture at any focal length.
