Guys, am planning to buy my first DSLR... Been searching online for quite long time but no clue on which model to choose. Can give me some suggestion?
*
d5200 seems good. it has wifi n gps. lovely features there.
if u dun want those cool features, maybe a d5100 is good enough. price is around 1.6 or less out there now.

Thanks for the suggestion, for D5100 the lens of 18-55 is it enough, I prefer in shooting animals and scenery... occasionally human portrait may be... Because I read through the members previous post, some they suggest for new shooter to obtain a 18-105 lens, but for model like D5100, i search in lowyat garage sales, it only come with 18-55 lens...
or better choose for D3200 18-105 lens...
*
i guess you the extra length would be helpful. Bt not really essential for me. If you wanna take photos of animals, the 55-200 VR lens would be useful and it's cheap. i think around 600.

Still, photo editing is so common nowadays that sometimes its even considered as part-and-parcel of photography. Definitely worth learning if you ask me, it will help you improve your shots and  your skills~

Guys, is it ok for this price?
RM2349, Nikon 3200 (18-55mm lens) (RM1699) + Sigma 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 lens (RM650)..
*
d3200 i saw 1599 http://www.mudah.my/New+nikon+d3200+with+a...it-25635172.htm

siggy 70-300 no OS(optical stabilisation?)
if u dun mind with DX lens, there's this choice from nikon , 55-300 or 55-200 with VR.

Um... I think there's no best way in shooting something, because each people have their own preference in shooting, some use long some use wide, 50mm on crop sensor is pretty limited for landscape too I think..

I think my advice would be ... look up on tutorials in how to shoot portraits or landscapes, rather than with a specific 50mm lens...

Oh and this ..
