Use 70-200?? I think I will use 150-500mm .Hahahahah. Im also worried about being mugged and scolded too. Is the 70-300mm VR a good lens?? Or there are others which are better?
*
tamron 70-200 f/2.8 macro is a good option too. more costly too. bt no VR la.

btw good read. have a look. http://digiphoto.techbang.com/posts/5732-2...og.likes&page=1

hi, wanna ask a noob question. where is the infrared receiver on the D90?

i bought a remote, 3rd party, cannot work, i have set the settings to remote control. either the remote battery is dead, or the remote is dead or it is not compatible with D90

I nearly jumped ship couple of days ago  tongue.gif  Felt dslr bit bulky and thought of getting mirrorless camera instead (was considering Fujifilm or Sony). But to start fresh with a new system will cost me more so I decided to stay with Nikon. Will be saving for D7100.
*
go for used d600. new d7100 is 2999. used d600 is >3.5k (i think around 3.8k)
FF now. same size as d7100. thumbup.gif

I'm starting to think the Fuji AF is better than my Nikon, for stationary subjects. Seems more consistent, the contrast focusing seems pretty spot on! Compared to my D800's phase detect, not that consistent, but then again, different depth of field.
*
5dm3 should be more accurate than d800 one rite?

Seems similar, though I have higher confidences on the D800's than those 5D3 I've used so far. But this Fuji I have even higher confidence mainly because of the contrast detection!

Last time I watched before AF comparison between 5D3 and D800, I think the 5D3 was faster but less consistent, where else D800 slower but more consistency.
*
contrast sure win lol. low light how?

Yep, you feel like anytime you have to run. Guess lots of people don't like to be photographed.

Maybe that is why most the guys here do insect photos.

Guys, I recently sold my D90 and thinking for an upgrade...D90 video capability is still kinda awful, i'm thinking of an upgrade to D7100, D610 or Canon 6D....i'm pretty happy with all of the image quality but i'm not sure in video....

Check out some review and D610 have some aliasing problem, not sure about the D7100...

So to all sifu, which 1 do you think I should get for best video quality?
*
definately the 6D the best for video. It's low light control is amazing according to reviews n what i see from youtube. canon still now currently leads in video.

I'm more of the Nikon guy actually.....haha fanboy tongue.gif but then 6D has only 1 cross type autofocus sensor and I don't do alot of video, yes I do need it but not as much as photos...

Im looking at the D610 but then the freggin aliasing is just making me kept on thinking....canon full frame only 6d and 5d mark 2 or 3........How about the D7100? I'm ok with dx if the video quality is good
*
lol for me it wont affect me much since i use only centre focusing point. focus and recompose technique.
Nikon D610 vs Canon 6D is what i've been doing recently. |
and came out with these.

Advantages of Nikon D610:
Better dynamic range. Better landscape photos.
Higher burst rate 6fps (which u can show off to canon 6d users 4.5fps)
More af point which may be helpful in sports and panning shots.
Has built in flash (which can act as trigger for my nissin di622 ii

Advantages of Canon 6D
Better noise control at high iso (above 3200, 6D beats D610 and 5dm3)
Some say better skin tone colour (personal preference)
Centre cross focus point which can focus at vy dark condition(claims to be -3EV compared to D610 which is -1EV where D700 and 5dm3 is -2EV) May be useful durin night outdoor shooting.
Much better video quality (in terms of noise and colour and controls)
Cheaper lenses out there for canon. (basically they are cheaper and used lenses easier to get)
Has GPS and Wifi (can show off to nikon d610 users balik lol)

Bt I'd still go for Nikon after all these comparison mainly because Nikon D610 kit is cheaper than 6D 24-105 kit.
if budget allows, i might chose 6D.

D7100 i think the moire problem is even more terrible rite cz no AA filter. D610 has.

Bro, what I can tell you on my own experience is that

I have yet to edit a 6D raw therefore do not know its ISO performance (including dynamic range and what not, the sensor quality in general) in real world application. D600 is still the best ISO camera for me. Compared with 5DM3 which to be honest I consider pretty lame ISO performance for such a camera, but of course 5DM3 main perk is not its ISO performance.

The 5DM3 has the best AF albeit not -3EV like 6D. The 6D only has 1 cross type and its of course slower than the 5DM3. The D600 is fast but often not exactly accurate, a little back focus or front focus with wide aperture lens and far subjects.

I use 5DM3 yet I miss D600's sensor a lot a lot.

For the work I'm doing (wedding, event coverage and corporate), I hardly use burst fire on any of my cams. The most I use is shooting 2 quick burst of a single scene to minimise the chances hand shake.

isit? bt im now starting to accept noise.. It's fine for me as long as colour and pic quality is not affected that much.
that day i used the d700 + 35mm DX, quite heavy vignetting. did u post process them away?
