May I know which Nikon DSLR has good or better LV autofocus? Thanks.
*
most dslrs can't focus quickly in LV (i think only canon's 70D can do almost instant focus?), so generally they are bad in LV autofocus, no matter what brand.

Slow like average 2 to 3 seconds to auto focus? Then acceptable for hobbyist like me, if 5 to 8 seconds then really damn slow.
*
depends on lenses too, don't forget that. generally if using for still subject, its ok. but for moving subject, no hope to use LV focus, it will never lock.

Well, the IQ on both d600 and 6D are good.

d600 wins at low ISO

6d wins at high ISO

you can go for quick google if you don't believe me. not to mention the 6D will not have dust issues (means nothing though if you are getting d610)

Oh I didn't realize m43's battery performance is weak. I'll be using for whole day when traveling so that's a huge nono.
*
if you are going for mirrorless, it's better to get a few spare batteries.

I would lean towards mirrorless for travel purpose definitely. Smaller and lighter! Saves the shoulder ache from carrying the heavy DSLR setup, and its not so "flashy".
That's the thing about mirrorless! Sensor turned on all the time while shooting, try shooting more on EVF to save on battery.
Yeah, and the batteries are as pricey as DSLR ones! My Fuji retails for RM250 >(
*
I thought there are quite a few 3rd party batteries for mirrorless? original battery is always expensive, no matter how powerful they are. sad.gif

That's even smaller... tongue.gif
I always stick to the original, my original Nikons are still working fine till now. Some since 2009!
*
then it's better to stick to original batteries, more expensive but lasts longer and more durable.

but I heard that some 3rd party batteries cost like rm50 but can perform as well as ori ones?

QUOTE(Everdying @ Feb 4 2014, 01:44 PM)
interestingly enough, my mirrorless aka gx1 with 14mm is smaller than x10.
*
m4/3 are getting so damn small now, look at the new oly em10 with 14-42, it's around the same size as gx1 (or even smaller?) but gives you zoom.

3rd party sure got some can perform like ori, but for how long? surely not as long as ori.
plus for nikon, this might happen to u sooner or later.

yeah.... more trusty, but some people want to save money mah tongue.gif

Noted. Ya, DOF is crazy in macro. Should get backward and use narrower aperture then. Also this one,

Easier now since I don't have to be so near with the insect.

still think that a lot of your pictures have too much of yellow hue or too "warm". is it something wrong with your screen's calibration or you purposely edited it like that?

sifu sifu why my 2nd picture got those dot dot ... is it my lens or camera body problem?
*
I think it's soemthing to do with dirty lens? I've encountered the same issue before, but after i remove my filter (which is quite dusty), then the dots become a lot lesser.

haha because I saw the base of a plastic bottle on the second last picture.

I did the same thing before, but end up letting all the insects/animals I captured away because I think they deserve to stay in their original habitats instead of being trapped in a small bottle.

I'm keeping specimens for behavioural research~  thumbup.gif

Staying in their original habitats mean exposure to predation yo laugh.gif
Those being reared are like living in arthropod 5 star hotels if you know how to take care of them hehe  laugh.gif
*
oh thats why. what I am worry about is a lot of people capture them for fun, then end up killing them because of don't know how to take care properly.

And there's those damn poachers that catch for selling... I can't believe as scientists we have to compete with them to get research materials before they become extinct  doh.gif Have to come up with ways to breed them and put them back into the habitat, and also stopping them poachers  hmm.gif
*
yeah, that's something really sad to see. human are so selfish, always do anything that can gain them benefits. sad.gif

Yeah, quite right about that laugh.gif
Though not everyone will consider upgrading one haha~

I just purchased 35mm F1.8 for my sis.. damn expensive, almost vomited blood  rclxub.gif
Yalo, great that Fuji is stepping up hehe~
XE1 and XE2 is quite similar in many ways. I suppose the biggest difference is the better sensor (like the one in the X100s = faster AF) and better screen hmm.gif
The XE1 is not as slow in AF as it was after firmware updates also~
*
wah how come you can buy so many cameras/lenses? last time d800+24-70, then 50 1.8, then 105 vr, then....(not sure how many left haha). i thought you are student only?

I can't accept micro 4/3 >_< took me sometime to decide to go back to APS-C LOL. Not gonna consider going below that. For sure the Olympus is a matured system, good AF and all.
Top Fuji, bottom Nikon. Unless post processing is doing a part, the dynamic range for the top seems worse than the bottom. And the dude's clothes is showing some weird patterns, X-trans RAW convertor issue?
*
hmmm i am considering m43 vs fuji eh. but i think i will end up with m43 because of the speed + super weather sealing. fuji's only advantage over m43 is the bigger sensor (better high iso, more bokeh) imo.

hmmm not sure when will that camera reach malaysia, i think at least 3-4months more to wait. i need another camera as long as i clear off my dslr so m43/ fuji will be in my top priority for now.
