It is for the receiver of the postal order. You don't have to have a back account to purchase one.

Sorry for interrupting; but I would like to ask fellow Bristolians(University of Bristol students preferably), does any of you a member of the Malaysian-Singaporean Students Association(MSSA) ? Do you like to play football? I'm considering to form a team for the intramural league. PM me if interested.

i've linked my paypal directly to my bank account (natwest), so no need credit card at all. the system uses direct debit, just requires ur debit card details and ur address. im gonna maintain the account forever, so that when i come back to msia, i have easy access to buy stuff online.

If you just freshly arrived in UK, it is really hard to apply Vodafone, T-mobile and Orange. You can try O2 and 3.
*
i also got problem with o2,orange and t-mobile...maybe thinking to buy just pay as you go handphone, mean using prepaid only, top up 10pound unlimited time.

as far as i can remember, once u've setup ur paypal to ur bank, u only need to maintain ur bank account. i've checked at natwest, as long as my account is active, i can use it eventhough i've permanently moved abroad. there's no fees or whatever. they require u to keep an account active by atleast adding GBP 5 every 6 months.

I have a question.

I'm taking electrical and electronic engineering courses in university and I've put in Imperial, Manchester, Bath, Birmingham and UCL as my 5 choices. However, there's a bit of reluctance putting in Birmingham and UCL. Can anyone suggest which University is suitable, or better, for EEE courses.

Note: Southampton doesn't offer the course I want.

Would greatly appreciate your help.

i assume by "I'm taking EEE courses..." u mean u're applying for it, not currently sitting for it, right?

can u tell us why u're reluctant of applying birm and UCL?

shouldnt be reluctant to put birmingham for engineering course.

doesn't really matter as long as you can make up your mind / assume / confident you will be offered for places, and all you have to do it put on as first choice and the other as insurance place.

yes exactly, just bring cash, fill in the form, payee details etc and that is fine.

you will need a debit card from uk to apply for paypal. relatively easy, but keep it safe, else easily commited to identity fraud.

no maintenance fee is required. you will need updated and active bank account. they charged you only when you subscribe to more features, transfer of higher amount, or certain charge upon receiving money to paypal and transfer them into your bank account.

apply via online will check the credit too. as long as you apply for mortgage, phone on contract, overdraft facilities, credit card, or a lot of thing, you credit score will be checked.

i dont know that your credit score will drop everytime you check it though. is that true?
