Yea I agree. labelling them as fools is a bit harsh there. What bout those who bought at retail then?  As we know , LEGO was NEVER this generous before in such magnitude so everybody's excitement during the initial 30% off is VERY JUSTIFIED.

We know some sets are justified personally because we want 'em badly and will grab on sight even without any form of discount. For me,  a "decent" 10% off Creators  is good enuff and just imagine how useful the parts were for my MOC I made the last 12 months or so.

i think i heard some where that they are ending the sales at BV2 much earlier(24-Dec)

Speaking of "fools"... haven't we all done foolish things at some point in our lives? Have to admit that once upon a time I did something foolish and bought Lego at local retail price too.

Guys, my bro is working for parkson and He is telling me ALJ try to persuade to them to take more stock as by Jan they no longer can distribute and sell as we all know, but Parkson is not stupid too as they wan cheaper stock by ALJ until then Parkson wont be having much stocks too. Let's wait for warehouse sales don't be deceive by ALJ sales now

I hate ALJ for being greedy with their monopoly of the Lego brand. Serve them right for not having the right to distribute Lego anymore. I can't wait for Parisian Restaurant with a "new price" maybe my wife can buy the Mindstorms for me at lower price also

In my opinion, they are the culprit for the high price of Lego in Malaysia. At least our online reseller can give lower price even though they need to deal with a lot of hassle just to get the stock. Yes it all business, but how honest they are in dealing the business will differentiate everything. Clearly now we can see how ALJ control the stock to ensure they can sell them at maximum profit. There is a reason why Lego did not continue their contract with ALJ and we as Lego fan really glad that something have been done to end this monopoly 

You are right about the problem in Legoland. I raised this issue even before LLM opened; how on earth are they going to make a profit and sell sets at the price they are selling now? There is nothing worth buying in Legoland at all except maybe for the Legoland exclusives like magnets, key chains etc. If you are a Singaporean, they are so many Lego exclusive stores that have a better variety and prices. Going to those exclusives stores does not require to pay toll, petrol etc to get over to Legoland, if you even have a car to haul in the 1st place.  Hell, since the Singapore Dollar is so powerful maybe can even buy from overseas and ship it to Singapore! Since Singapore is a port city I'm sure shipping is not expensive and their Kastam is easier to deal with than our Kastam! If they cannot even attract Singaporeans, how do they expect to attract Malaysian who does not have the spending power of Singaporeans?

Then for AFOL like me, LLM is not an attractive place to buy sets since it is so far from KL, the ticket price is expensive, the prices are retail prices and the selection is no match to some of our Tun Tan Sris here. To me Big Shop is no different than BBT. At least BBT give you membership discount.

Last month I was at LLM due to a company trip. The Big Shop berlambak with stock but from the looks of it not really moving. Some of the boxes of the modular buildings looks like it has been handled many times. There was even 1 49000 F1 racer which I think was sold at the City shop where the box art already become faint because it is too long exposed to the sun (the shop is fully opened).
