Seems like pcb mounted is rare.
Even this 12 years old Access Keyboard(POS) with MX Black also plate mounted.
http://www.access-is.com/pdf/AKC080_Progra...le_Keyboard.pdf

I thought I can easily replace the slider on it.
Thanks for midnight2903 & Human10 for clarifications.

Wow, unprinted spacebar?

Not domed winkey?

Is the keycaps tight?
*
Yup, tighter than ducky stock abs.
All blanks unprinted, not domed winkey also.
Current problem, is the spacebar & enter key do not work well with cherry stabilizer. It went all the way down.
But perfectly fit if on costar stabilizer on filco. So, I have to use another spacebar & enter key on ducky. Not a prob for me. biggrin.gif
The dealer store give extra of 4 R4 keys and an extra spacebar (free gifts).

This keycool blank keycaps only suitable for my ducky. Not very tight.
Just now i tried on my Filco, fits very tight, when pull out the stem out a little bit. Not recommended to Filco.

hey guys.... i may have to replace my G15V1 keyboard which i LOVE VERY MUCH! unfortunately it started going kuku on me...

so im considering mechanical keyboards... usage is mostly for work and typing out syntaxes... but gaming is also a priority... mostly FPS... but the current keyboard i using temporarily pretty sux even for FPS with some keys not being registered after pressing a combo.

so whats a good and cheap mechanical keyboard that can replace my G15V1?

my main priority
- dedicated volume up and down button and dedicated mute button
- palm rest
- tilt height?

any suggestions? so far ive seen not many have them

pls recommend the cheapest option available as i also need to budget for a G13. i also might have to buy 2 sets of keyboard+G13

but feel free to recommend the higher range and expensive ones as well...just in case i have the budget

thanks.

EDIT: pls quote me when replying so that i get a notification in case i forget about this post.

thanks

What normal mechanical keyboard provided is like above; the function key to adjust the multimedia volume.
Just pressing the combination keys of FN + F1 to mute the volume, FN + F2 to lower the volume and FN + F3 to increase the volume.
Mainstream mechanical keyboard all do provide this feature. i.e ducky

If you are looking for better volume controller, you may buy it separately from keyboard.
Dedicated volume controller, something like this Griffin.

More recommended if buy separately.

As Human10 recommend, you may choose something like this Greed Wolf.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH..... well i actually am a logitech fanboy....when it comes to keyboards n mouse.

im EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my keyboards... coz i type alot for work....from tactile feel, to key layout (type of enter key and long backspace key etc) and even tilt height is a concern for me... and logitech seems to be satisfying my needs extremely well over the years... i even still own an old white logitech PS2 keyboard...n that keyboard is still functioning and is over 13yo hahahha

i also have 2 units of the dell multimedia keyboard which is OEM by logitech.. owned them for 4 years now and they have never even been used.. only 1 has been removed from the packaging for pictures... bought them coz theyre awesome to use... and hard to find heh.

as for mouse... the best bang for buck mouse ever... MX518 biggrin.gif i also still own 2 units MX500.
anyway... K70, G710+ both seem awesome but are a lil expensive and will take awhile for me to get them.... as mentioned before.. i also need to get the G13 to replace the macros on my G15V1. and im gonna need to get both keyboard+g13 at the same time.

the ducky dk2108 however, at RM250 looks like a good deal... just need to find out how much that damn palm rest costs and see how much it totals up. anyone has any idea of the pricing?

still welcoming moar suggestions
*truth be told im hoping for my G15V1 to get back in line...and stop being kuku... love that keyboard so much... custom modded by ianho somemore.
*
Haha.. My Apple Magic Mouse died today. sad.gif Now left hand feel empty coz don't have mouse to hold. Only right hand.
The ducky palm rest around RM120.

but actually more towards the K70 mainly coz it doesnt have the macro keys.

trying to avoid having macro keys on the keyboard now as i dont wanna end up relying on them

yeahh..but it not stuck..just a bit slow bounce back..how u solved it?...

Spacebar and enter key of mine is like that.
What I done is
Blow with hot air (soften the key) using hairdryer to the key, then adjust slowly in.
Do not force the key fully in. Adjust slowly in..
You will reach a point where the key bounce like other keys. Then when u satisfied only stop.

My finding is the key is slightly concave, compared to normal.

So, the key experienced high downward force than upward.

Deswai I always suggest Costar stabiliser whenever possible.

Btw, try to get a syringe and some plastic safe lubricants. Inject a little to the stabiliser slider or whatever part which you see it moving when lifted. The worst, try reseat the stabiliser or even replace them.
*
Really, finally I understand why Costar stabiliser is superior after my keycool pbt key stuck.
Costar stabiliser really can use all my so-called problem keys perfectly. biggrin.gif

ps: finally ur sig is gon. rclxms.gif

I only have the problem on enter key, both shift keys are ok. Actually just to ask if this is a problem of new batch of poker2 or previously also like this  hmm.gif .
Alright  notworthy.gif , i might eventually buy costar stabs to replace them when changing plate.
Either its really ikbc QC lousy or this just common on cherry stabs, but my TK all butter smooth with cherry stabs also  blush.gif .

For qc, the key still in the tolerane limit, that's why still distributed to consumers.
For polymer, either during shipping, the key is heated or kena UV radiation (sunlight), so the property is modified.
So, probably warpage is happening during shipping.

ps: experienced of manufacturing engineer, with the knowledge of materials engineering/quality control/polymer engineering
