Somehow latency on WTFAST is worst than using free VPN (Softether). However, it is reliable and less DC than Softether (unless you use good public VPN).

If you could fork out some cash (we talking about 5-10usd here), you can always subscribe to IronSocket VPN. Its good and very low ping. I got around 80-90ms low and peak time. This is for Black Desert Japan Server.

There's already an International version aka NA/EU version however ping wise wont be a great gaming experience to the SEA gamers. You still need a VPN to play the NA/EU server as they implied IP Block. This mean our ping will be higher than the usual 200-300ms when we play in EU/NA region.

For SEA region server, I heard rumours that we will be bundled together with CHina server. It just a rumour and no one can confirm this yet.

With region block, that's already implying that it is not International version.
If International, everyone from around the globe can connect without restriction by region.
Also, support will not be provided if you are not within their service region.

How's IronSocket after the server merge, have you tried it?
What's the ping look like?
Are you on Unifi?

Same low ping except during peak time 9pm-11pm server abit laggy. probably server side overloaded coz i can stream utube smoothly.

I'm on Symphonet, not Unifi.

I thought the ip block is on login and not the game? (meaning you can use softether to bypass the login and once you enter, you can just disconnect the vpn and use your own) or is it not like the russian version?

Nope, tried many times. The moment disconnected from VPN, will be disconnected from game. That's how it is in JP, at least.

Anyway, I wish to share something with all of you, for those who are playing on BDO JP.
After some research, I found a way to:
1) Restrict OpenVPN to BDO website and server only.
2) All other activities (youtube, yahoo, whatever) will use your default network connection.

Meaning, you can play BDO JP and watch youtube, without the youtube going through the VPN server.

Steps:
1) Right-click the OpenVPN notification area icon.
2) Navigate to the server which you are using. Make sure currently you are NOT connecting.
3) Choose "Edit Config".
4) At the VERY END of the file, add these 3 lines:
route-nopull
route 203.141.0.0 255.255.0.0
route 122.129.0.0 255.255.0.0
5) Save the text file, and connect.
That's all. Enjoy!

Please feel free to share/distribute this tip, because the more people using it, the less bandwidth we will waste, therefore make the server smoother for everyone altogether smile.gif

I am not sure IronSocket or SoftEther or whatever else can achieve the same, please let me know how if they actually can.

Also, for MY/SG fellas, I want to share with you 3 OpenVPN config files which I spent one whole night tested, and managed to get between 100-120 stable ping at most time. Your mileage may be different due to location/ISP/whatever, but no harm for you to try out if it is better that your current one smile.gif

The 3 files are in the attachment of this post.
The first 2 are actually the same server, just different protocol (TCP, UDP).
UDP has can go higher bandwidth than TCP, so please use that if possible.
If you can't use that for whatever reason, then only use the TCP one.
The 3rd file, which is a different server than 1st and 2nd file, only has UDP option.

Rename all those file's extension from "txt" to "ovpn".
Place them into the "C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\Config" folder.
Once you have done that, and make sure you are not currently connected to any server, then they will appear in your right-click menu.

The _110_wide_***, _120_wide_*** is just my own added prefix to indicate the average ping performance, and whether the bandwidth is wide or narrow. Narrow bandwidth is likely to disconnect when you load character into the game, because there's much more data to be transferred during the first loading, compared to the post-loading gameplay.

If you find any good server with OpenVPN file, please share too, so that we all can enjoy quality play time, and keep the community stronger smile.gif

EDIT: I am using OpenVPN GUI V10, please make sure you are also V10 or above, otherwise the command lines may not be recognized.
