Found the right platform for this, removed from real world issue .

Celcom will send u their promotion via SMS from 22022, "NotifyMe service"

If you do not reject that SMS by replying "NO", you will be charged the subscription fee.

RM1.00 may not be much to 1 customer, but if celcom got 1 Million customers, it can amass RM1M just like that as how many would know we must reply NO to that innocent promo SMS? Many may not even read that SMS or simply just deleted it like i did.

If you are a victim to that, lodge a complaint and get your refund from 1111.

You just have to be on the look out for many unwanted services that you will be charged.

After calling 1111, i found out there was another Rm1.00 charged by 37773. Even Celcom CS does not know what is that for, only after my insistance to find out, he only managed to tell me it is from a company called "Ionnex Sdn Bhd" with Tel 03-2166 5480/81.

I tried celcom website to forward a formal complaint but their Contact Us feedback is just refusing to work. Anybody knows how to complain to their boss in celcom.

my experience with skmm (the last one) is rather good. proven that you're on the right side and given needed proof, they'll contact you rather quick and later telco will also contact you.
telco just scared of skmm tongue.gif

sad.gif I'm pulling out this old topic.

But my Celcom First Data Biz Advance service (Data Only) that I had subscribed for the past 6 years, had some odd charges onto the normal RM90. Totalling RM23 for past 3 bills.

My own investigation led me to the Vodafone SMS Inbox, shocked to see "22008" had been sending me SMS about a subscription I never knew of, so I did not authorize it. This thing charged/is still charging me RM1/2 days for something I NEVER AUTHORIZE.

1st SMS read:
"RM1 TQ 4 subscribing 2 Street Models frm Vuclip on The Cube.Ull rcv SMS once ur subscription is successful.RM1/2days.To cancel, send STOP v21 to 22008 Ref ID: D7G2E77010"

DISGRACEFUL CELCOM!!
What if 1 million subscribers have this SMS "subscription" creep into their bills? instant millions of profit for Celcom!!

I have submitted a complaint to SKMM. Thanks to Bro/Sis axxer who posted it.
Also sent "STOP ALL" to 11911. Hopefully that stops all this nonsense.

my complaint did not received any action, hopeless authority simply let celcom cheat us.

I called up celcom and fired them direct, but
Celcom itself denies responsibilty, said it has no control over 3rd party
access our line which then sent us unsolicited SMS and then charging us!!

getting to us and cheated us

Celcom helpdesk said this charge is from the third party advertising company. They will charge you when you click on online ads (banner, link). This only happens on mobile phone, not on PC. Yes, this website knows your mobile phone number!!! that's why they can charge you. This third party advertising company is registered under SKMM and they're allowed by the SKMM to do that! Shocking but true!

It's 2018. My mom just got a message stating she just subscribed a NADA DERING from IONNEX and her rm3 just got deducted.

The message stated it will be automatically renewed next week and if she wishes to unsubscribe ".. to unsubscribe please go 2 *365*30#.." . They typed properly except "go to" became "go 2". Making me confused, and i tot i couldnt stop it, and they just bluff. Luckily i rechecked the text again and again.

Poor my mom. She is just an old lady know nothing about technology 😡

Just one note for those on Celcom prepaid Youth Xpax/Old package with very long Credit expiry dates.

If you accept the Celcom Offer to upgrade to New 4G SIM with free RM10 credit,

be warned that with this new SIM, even if you do not on Data in your phone and using only home or free wifi, the moment you walk out of the range from free WIFI,

Celcom 4G SIM will surreptitiously charge you despite your phone is on "DATA off" mode.

The ways to avoid being conned by Celcom is:

1)if your phone has Wifi Assist option in the setting - turn it off (untick it)
2)If your phone does not have that option in setting, then you must off Wifi before you leave your source of free WIFI.

Celcom cant help you, it seems they cannot do anything for you, it is inbuilt with the 4G SIM to pandai pandai connect you to chargeable Celcom WIFI whenever your connection is poor or out of range from the FREE wifi you were using.
