Real alternative does not work with VLC because VLC does not use directshow at all,
Latest VLC already can play rmvb video, since FFmpeg already have the RV30/40 decoder for sometimes,
ffmpeg real audio (cook) status is unknown.

But for me.. It still can't play .rmvb files.

(Might be previous last update.)
And still.. I think VLC is a tad too bloated for my liking.

Hmm, i didnt test it, but you might have to use the nightly build, im not really sure.
it should be able to play rmvb, just some real audio format are not decodeable IIRC.
yes VLC filesize is large, and its not that good compare to Mplayer, mpc-hc and ffdshow.

why i can't play this file, after few second then just stop at the picture..
try on window media player, real media player, DiVX and the cyberlink Power DVD 5..
all same happen..i'm using the c738tu compac notebook, haven't try on other PC yet..

any player that can filter certain scene in movie?

i love to watch movie with my family by plug my laptop to the tv, then certain 'hot' scenes need to be remove....

need to know, if any player can been schedule to play a file at certain time and stop it.
my case is like this, i got music.mp3 and need to play it at sunday tuesday only at 4:30 to 5:30 only. what i can do
