Guys, i am planning to get Forte 2nd hand. Saw some great deals on 2010 Forte (1.6 & 2.0) cars, but should i get 2012/2013 year car instead? thanks.

Mine change that already..both side during 40k..that time claim warranty no problem at all coz below 50k..^___^

hmm..just did my 50k service, the exact same sound is starting to become more apparent (especially at low speed turning). do let us know as the days go by on the status of the problem. I am planning to drop by SC next week to get my car looked at..sedih la macam ni..btw which SC didja go to?

Ya, I know it would cost more but I am really cheesed off with Allianz Insurance. Naza also doesn't assist in this matter as the EPS to me appears to be quite a common problem. I understand from a Singaporean owner that he managed to get it repaired by changing the Teflon by an outside workshop but it wasn't cheap. He posted the problem in youtube.

I would have loved to keep the car longer as the 2.0 engine is still very smooth. What I am not happy about is despite servicing my car before the mileage was due I am penalized just because I sent my car for servicing 1 month late despite not reaching the mileage due. The SC also didn't help in pursuing my warranty case.

Bought the touch up paint liao..it's called ezy touch up. havent tried it yet though, probably will do it this weekend.

Is there any big difference between CBU & CKD units? I saw the side mirrors signal light is different, 4 speed & 6 speed which one serves better? thanksss

err..why u say that? sound like u experience issues with the touch up paint before?

That's like very subjective.

One of my friend told me that 4-speed will have better FC at town because your engine doesn't have to switch gear too frequent. While at highway, 6-speed will be superior.

Just my 2 cents.

Perhaps you have drive a decent car previously.

I drove a Myvi previously and if you compare that with Forte, you will know why I have such reasoning.

I owned the 6 speed . The aircond is not too cold.My friend also complain the same issue.  Air cond distribution for Back seat passengers not very good.
Tyres noisy and also low quality sound insulation materials used. Warm driver leg area (can feel engine heat)  & Hot rear boot (due to exhaust below)
Apart from that, no issue so far.

Hi.  Just wondering from your experience..how should we shift gears (at what rpm?) for economical city drive?  I also own a 6-speeder and the FC is jaw-dropping >< lol..any way to lower FC?

Just a quick update, i just got back from SC at old klang road and they have managed to identify the stabilizer link as the issue. Since my car is 2+3, i opted to get them to repair for rm180 rather than pay the rm200 insurance access fee. Seems like this is a known issue between 50-60k mileage depending on driving, thankfully not to expensive to resolve.

stabilizer can claim? mine got problem just about CNY and i change it at SC at RM180 each.
is it making your car with noise? i saw the SC there many faulty stabilizer~

Mine is 4 years with 60k km and still no sign the battery will die...

i change both side @ RM380!! and the SC said it's not under warranty~~ why huh??

i did ask them that time, they said not under warranty cannot claim.
but the point is according to you, it's able to claim.
the problem is not about the money, is they didn't provide actual info which is very important to customer.

mine is completed full original set at all, not changing anything and service at their center all the time.
