Having some trouble with my steering wheel. KIA Forte 2.0SX 2010 with the motor assisted power steering.

Problem is there is a "kluk kluk" sound when turning the wheel especially when its near the center. Occurs at all speeds, i.e. even when idle. Steering is a bit stiffer now as well. Did some research and read somewhere that the bushing might be out.

Anyone having this problem also? And could someone point me to a reputable mechanic? Or should I send it back to KIA SC? I was thinking cause there is some safety issues involved, i.e. need to remove the steering, air bags and all, so wouldn't want to risk this. Also, my warranty is already up, so I can choose not to send it back to SC.

Any help would be appreciated.

i think depend on sc also.

i once claim my foggy head lamp just by email a picture to them. no need to visit them for chk. then wait for the call to replace.
(but foggy headlamp is whole msia issue, i think they familiar already. maybe la.  )

10k to 30k i think.
make 2 claim at 2 diff time. 1 for each side.

No wonder..mine also b4 50k claim a lot..no problem..but after 50k a lil bit prob to claim..huhu
