MA180 too weak for some low coverage area.

you may consider higher level modem.

hi, can please recommend me which tp-link router to pair up with my Huawei E303 modem. I am just trying out a data simcard for now, so not looking to spend too much on the hardware.

Currently i see TP-Link fits in with my low budget, so just wanna which to get between MR3020, MR3040, MR3220, MR3420. It will be a home used unit so not really concerned on size/portability/battery life as it will be plugged to wall.

thanks

Huawei E303 is able to support by using stock firmware of MR3420

for home unit MR3420 is the best.

wahh, looking at the E3276 make me sweat.gif , well actually i need 24/7 online just keep the device stay online..is there any stable device? well yeah u guys will ask me to apply registered land line like streamyx and ur info my area no streamyx/fiber like unifi so the best option for me is using 3G/4G line since my area have coverage..

ps - i might be buy the E3276 in the future..makan kangkong liao..lol

get E398 vodafone rebranded if can't afford E3276.
E398 still the best signal gain device.

Got a Huawei AF23 today.

Short Review :

  • Really small, solid build.

  • Takes 70 seconds from cold boot with E3276.

  • E3276 works on first boot and I don't even do the initial setup.

  • There's a LAN port and 300M WiFi and the signal is surprisingly great, comparable to MR3420 while < 1043ND.

  • It's just < RM100

*
if compare to MR3020?

sure bo that price? <RM100???

I suspect your router got problem, other user dont have issue using E3276(Firmware Build 436) with MR3420 V2.

Try a reset, if issue persist, consider flashing to ROOter custom firmware
*
E3276 at low signal strength area will have frequent DC because need more mA to run at weak signal area.

Not relevant with DNS when he can't even ping an IP

Local IP and Gateway is correct.
Only the DNS. 8.8.8.8 sometimes Maxis IP unable to ping.

Change to OpenDNS will confirm.

is the insufficient power supply affect the DNS thingy ? since i try with ipad power adapter . . it seems stable abit but there's also disconnection but no so frequent compared to the origin power adapter . .
so far test with my sister modem huawei E1762 working fine but that e392 i just use around 1 month only . . feel soo rugi kalau kena beli yg baru . .  sad.gif  sad.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

so no solution ?  sad.gif  sad.gif

if E1762 was fine then is your E392 problem lo....maybe it suk lots of power so the router unable to give enough Amp to it.

I will suggest you OFF the WIFI radio and test it first.

u got 2 choice, keep the modem, buy new router OR keep the router buy new modem.
if LTE was not the priority, I'll buy cheap modem like E372 which consume less power and stable connection, and compatible with your router's stock firmware.
