Hye bought this last week.. White and lte. Just wta. Is this fon battery really fast drain if browsing on mobile data?
*
if u browse using chrome, yes it drain faster. i don't like chrome although it's really fast and snappy. but it's also a very heavy apps, causing the phone to heat up and drain battery faster.

try using other browser like boat

*
yes ar ??? but my previous ninetology phone was performing very well when i first bought... my data connection will be on for 10 hours and the battery life still remain at 50-60%. Same usage as my current phone now... watsapp, fb, email and browsing.. after 3-4 months of usage, the performance and battery begin to drop cry.gif

True, same goes to me... If i off the screen at 60%, it remains there until next morning or until i start to use again.... Never tested for a very long period, but for 8 hours the battery didnt drain even 1% when the phone was locked.

Only thing i realised was... battery drains faster when using data connection but when i use wifi, the battery life is good..
*
oh mine drain 3% though last night lol.. but so far so good with 4.3 update thumbup.gif

For those who have flashed the white balance, you may want to add the following command line

display_color_calib

to the file at the end:

/system/etc/install-recovery.sh

reboot after that and it's done!
this will solve the bug that we have to relaunch the white balance after each reboot. i just did that and it works nod.gif

not only data usage will cost battery life... look at the screen... which one have more pixel.... more pixel more power... so your comparison with ninetology won't valid... brows.gif

When use wifi, you normally will sit near to the wifi AP, so less power will use to get connected. But when use mobile data, i pretty sure you won't be sitting near to the tower... you can look at the signal strength under setting/about phone/status... the lower the value, more power will be used.

mine too is excellent. very happy with what Sony have done.

Btw, what is with all the ruckus over battery drain over wifi or data? come on peeps, these days no matter what you get you will never be happy is it? we got 3000mAH battery and you all still wanna complain? I feel this is so much more better than all my other phones i had. Just get a battery pack if you think your battery is not enough or drains fast. Or get a Nokia 3310. whistling.gif

Went to Koh Lipe with my wife last week, took bunch of pictures with my Z1. We went for snorkeling & island hopping, fortunately weather was very good for that day. Some of the pictures highlight.

The seawater was crystal clear yoo.

Tried the panorama, picture didn't "stitched" that good as the boat was moving, but definitely a great moment.

We reached a spot with so many fishes. wasn't prepared to do this but i just dip the phone in and took some pictures of the fish, took lots of pictures but most of it have my finger blocking, was worried that the phone might fall off since I didnt have any lanyard on.

I also tried the time burst to get this pic.

All in all, I'm very happy with this phone after almost 2 month of ownership. Definitely the best phone upgrade I had so far, did pretty good on point and shoot purpose, with very good battery life too.

I didnt bring it all the time laaa, take a few shots then go back the the boat and flush the phone with fresh water. I dont have any lanyard on the phone too, Takut drop to the seabed also.. hahaha.. Dont be too worried with seawater, the phone is waterproof. As long you take precaution laa, flush with fresh water immediately after seawater contact. I even dip in the wash basin at the hotel after we're done snorkeling. Btw, beach side breeze is salty too, i dont see anybody so worried using their phone on the seaside pon. tongue.gif
