QUOTE(hafizaru @ Mar 21 2014, 09:22 AM) any significant different (advantages) for XZU KitKat? #patientlywaitforkitkat actually i didnt update to Kitkat yet, as im waiting for positive and negative reviews regarding the update. not to mention, one of the reason i dont update to kitkat is i planned to expand my storage but it seems like kitkat has changed the read/write pattern towards memory cards.

QUOTE(bearbearhong @ Mar 23 2014, 05:39 PM) U must be quite young, I started with nokia era hahaha the age when mobile phone without antenna and composing own ringtone looked so cool Ya, im 20 this year. When im still a kid, i still remember that i play my dad's nokia 3310 and the snake game. Those times are so cool till this era, where keypad phones are no longer common stuff.

QUOTE(malim.deman @ Mar 24 2014, 01:57 PM) Hmmm... not that i can think of. I did install new apps but thats all that i can remember. If its firmware related, I might update to kit kat n see how it goes. Try do a factory reset as well or remove any apps that you think it is suspicious.

Sony announced that Kitkat update for XZU, does not mentioned 3g model is left out. no, i never meant 3G wont have kitkat. the person asked current situation, so i answered based on current situation.

QUOTE(thatisazam @ Mar 25 2014, 04:31 PM) do note tht i might be having those issue because i flashed C6833 ROM into my C6802 phone. but maybe some I encountered is a KitKat issue for ZU ROM..idk need to wait for C6802 KK FTF to test out Not sure if thats the cause, but i will update to stock kitkat 1st and find issues. If no, means C6833 ROM is the cause. I will still flash GPE anyway.

i dropped my naked XZU just now, from around the height of a table. i found the phone facing downwards which i thought i experienced the worst drop, but once i picked up, there is no scratches and the glass is still firm and strong. i inspected the aluminium frames and cant find a dent or scratch. IMHO, XZU is a very strong phablet, good job Sony. now, time to update to KitKat.

QUOTE(Ronald_loulan @ Mar 26 2014, 04:57 PM) Actually ZU is not that fragile... Thanks to its Gorgeous design... i think its more than gorgeous. anyway, it seems like the oleophobic coating of my anti-shatter film at the areas i constantly touched is degrading; its streaky and catches fingerprints easily. tried apply with automotive wax but it doesnt seems to help.

QUOTE(mudkipryan94 @ Mar 26 2014, 05:50 PM) dropped XZ before, nth happen on the back screen also as demonstrated at MWC 2013, Xperia Z is also quite a tough phone. dropping it isnt a problem, but not advisable to drop it constantly.

QUOTE(un_id @ Mar 26 2014, 06:16 PM) ya me too, i found that it is quite a durable phone.. but i wonder why some experienced screen cracked, maybe those unit are already defective unit out of factory, i mean, maybe faulty manufactured, the screen are too thin or something, while the rest are ok should be manufacturing fault, as not all phones are perfect out of the factory. if you remember this adriansen guy on Youtube, he bought 3 (or 4 i suppose?) units of Xperia Z and ended up destruct all of them. not to mention, he declares the Xperia Z's screen is so cheap, if you know what i mean. EDIT : and oh yeah, of all the phones he destructed, the frame is still remain intact and with small/not so visible dents. still a tough phone IMO. QUOTE(hafizaru @ Mar 27 2014, 08:54 AM) yup & any contras updating it (base on LTE xperience)? I updated it. It seems like the movie player app now plays mkv files but it fails to read subtitles (maybe due to type of subtitles used). I felt phone a lot smoother and some settings that arent present in previous versions were added, like the white balance, theme settings and a little.more. You can now exit fullscreen like how you drag down the notifications bar. And now you have one touch settings, which is available on Xperia phones with kitkat. Bug fixes, built-in app experience and anything regarding android is still under testing. A shot about the movie app plays mkv but not the subtitle. Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(dembaba9000 @ Mar 27 2014, 09:32 AM) automotive wax would only work on glass. I doubt it works on PET films. i doubt about it too, so i tried. it wont work on plastic films. will try to ask Sony Malaysia to replace the film for me at a price, as my unit is AP.

QUOTE(iitadakimas @ Mar 27 2014, 03:41 PM) Few things I don't like upon booting up the phone after KitKat update. -New animation boot up. The old black one looks more classy IMO. -New lock screen. I love the previous one so much with the stripes thingy. This new one looks like a Galaxy phone. -Lock/unlock sounds!!!! Makes my speaker sound muffled. -I don't mind the Quick settings separated from the notification tray, but it's colourless now eww. One thing I like, SONY TOUCH SOUNDS ARE BACK!!!! So far that's all I noticed for now. movie player app now plays mkv files. and yeah, i love sony touch sounds. sounds like im using a PS3.
