The only way to really be sure is to test it on the spot ... Install CPUz and check for the screen resolution and the CPU ... Most importantly is the CPU because cheaper CPU ensures that the manufacturers have reasonable profit.

Don't trust built in system information because that can be manipulated

Google search, MiuiSpnConf.apk , install it then at the carrier name just put 'spacebar' until the end then tap on save, toggle ON airplane mode then OFF back.
