Bro, want me to help you? We can meet at KL Sentral if you want, I already know about all precaution for flashing P780. Because I've paid RM140 extra tution fees to learn flashing P780 sweat.gif

Now on Vibe ROM, and my phone UI personally I felt it's better than Samsung rclxm9.gif
Yup, Power + Vol Up + Vol Down to enter recovery.
*
I don want to use sp tools... duno y the zip I downloaded files extension is *.7z ... how to install it?,

Hmm why not SP Tools? Unless you have backup-ed your ROM with CWM then only can try to restore backup, or else try flash some ROM which is made recovery flashable ROM from lepakspot.com.
*
well i'm not familiar with SP Tools... if you are willing to help it will be great... haha...

QUOTE(PedangGila @ Feb 24 2014, 03:14 PM)
The SP tool that came from Lepakspot link is version  v3.1304.0 compared to latest v5.1352.01 and luckily it manage to flash my 8GB to stock rom. Ive chosen the download option while the tutorial says firmware upgrade. Whatever it did, the process went smooth, OTA to s123 and  without a bootloop.

One word though, I have serious network error problem downloading the stock ROM from lepakspot with Chrome so I used Free Download Manager.

@michael9413 7zip is a must to install since, well, since Linux source is GPL.
*
well i manage to unzip it haha... duno windows 8.1 can see the inside... i zip it again with winrar *.zip...
i try n see again in the recovery in a while...

P780 successor (sort of) unveiled. S860 are announced with 4000mAh cell and metal back. Guess Lenovo dropped P series out of its portfolio huh. laugh.gif

http://m.androidcentral.com/lenovo-announc...le-price-points
*
well it cost much more... USD 350 * 3.1 = MYR 1085
If it is just another Mediatek device i might need to think again...
but if it is a Snapdragon then it will be a good buy for me...

Eeerrr... Samsung is using marketing to get ppl buy their phones, so what u get is much lesser than 30% of the cost is used to make ur product... which means cut cost and cost down... so if u really do survey most of their product has problem and it can't last more than 2 yrs... worst is S3, the material barely last for 6 months got crack already... then a lot got hang issues, all they do is changing mobo...

Lenovo I hope they will focus more on their firmware upgrade at least support for 2 yrs from the launching date...or 2 version update... their design so so... but I really hope they maintain the P series...
Otherwise most of the Lenovo phones are quite well build... Solid...

Well being an owner of few brand (Samsung/Sony/Lenovo/Csl/etc..), we can say that Samsung is "apple" version of android.

While the issue in build quality exist in S3, but it has been rectify in Note 2, S4 and so on..

For me, it special in after sales services (in swk at least) and numerous after sales support from xda dev.
*
agrees where they got a numbers of ppl doing their custom ROMs...
after sales service is bad... not good at all... problem not rectified n late reply is what I had gone thru...
when i was there some others told me they even tell them cannot be repair or software problem... even under warranty... they will try not avoid... got 1 guy brought his TAB for the 3rd time with the problem cannot charge haha... on the spot they told a pair of old couple the S2 (under warranty) cannot be repair and they cannot do anything about it.. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

errr... really??? but S4 still have battery issue which sucks a hell lot of juice... even moderate usage it will not last 16hrs... that is what my fren told me... his 2 battery only can last time 36 hours max...

well i'm not tempted to try one and i did not intended to try one... the Samsung makes me sick because of the gimmick they put inside the phone... so the price is bloody nice also... for the amount of $$$$ they throw in the marketing i would say the standard (of the product) will drop because of COST incurs...
Apple also, i'm not intended or tempted to try iPhone... but for iPad i will...

Me too. Win8.1 Pro 64-bit. I've successfully flashed to stock S119. There is special step need to be done before running the SP flash tool. That step is to ensure install ADB driver properly. YouTube to learn it.

Win 8.1 security is quite strong but still vulnerable. By default, those driver not authorised by Microsoft will not be installed. We hv to disable the " Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" first.

The easiest method is:

The guaranteed method to install ADB driver:

For me, I think P780's camera performs very bad under low light situation. Even my Grand's 8 MP camera is better.
*
Cannot compare with Samsung... they over process the image to make the color stand out...
If you do pixel peeping there is nothing much different in quality... you might find the image on Samsung better in sharpness but again they sharpen the image... in terms of noise both similar...

Probably, but under "light efficient" conditions, the image are still pretty though.

If u snap side by side at the same time I would say both it is similar... don use LED...
They (the camera) are never meant to satisfy ppl in dark...
