2nd question, buy 4gb or 8gb? Considering price difference is not much, but i usually save anything and everything on sd card.

Hi, I'm thinking of getting this phone but need some clarification from users here just to get the facts right.

1. Is the screen gorilla glass? In gsmarena doesn't mention about that but in this site mention using gorilla glass.link here

2. Is the 8gb version has removable battery and 4gb version non-removable? Any owner can clarify please. my source here says 8gb can remove batt

3. I believe this is dual sim dual standby phone. What is the HSDPA speed for this phone? I'm planning to use my broadband simcard in the 3g sim slot to surf so the speed is quite important to me.

The screen is glass. Gorilla? Not sure coz it never roar back to me.
I'm not using sp and still not even a scratch.
W/o so feels nicer as finger glides naturally.
Also, when compared to one with sp, my display looks much2 clearer.

Hey, btw A850 is faster but cheaper.
-ve battery smaller.
-ve internal partition for apps only 2gigs w/o option to move to SD.
Screen less resolution but very nice nevertheless.
Lenovo really into the race with top makers.

I duno for sure but I personally think the so called featured Gorilla glass is more of a hyped than truly an ultimate protection from scratches. Read all over the web people complaining that their screen got scratched despite its gorilla. Should be called Chimpanzee or Monkey glass instead since just extra scratch resistance compared to others. One mega brand love selling hype like this.. gorilla to monkeys. Ha.ha.

No point having gorilla glass and still need to sp them. As I said, just call it monkey glass that still needs sp if u don't want it to scratch. Or maybe need wait till King Kong glass?

I'm truly happy with p780 screen despite rough treatment by my daughter daily. Still sctatchless. Oh, I never put my phone + keys romancing in pocket. I think its mere silly to think it won't do harm.

Is it possible to put in GravityBox in stock ROM S119?
Now using SLXROM (with Gravitybox in there ) but as some said, stock ROM still the best
but I like the Gravitybox customization features. However I find the Radiomodule S820.V51
in SLXROM much better than S119 V20 in terms of signal strength.

my wifi connection goes BACK again.. i'd to performed factory data reset, a bit of patience and thanks to Allah and all of you for the support and recommendations..

i noticed before this after performing flashtool sessions, entering recovery modes, few resets etc etc... the phone come back slowly for a some extended time.. therefore i simply thinks its maybe hang or something and i performed a reset button again. since there is nothing arise after that maybe i just assumed thats already fine.

maybe i not realized at that extended time the phone is performing something on the background and after i pushed the reset button, all the processes are truncated. hopefully all goes well after this..

I don't know whether this info is true or not but a friend of mind suggested an easy way for checking dead pixels. Just launch the camera app and later cover the camera lens with your finger or other soft thing but opaque. If you see white dots on the now black screen, the phone got dead pixels problem.

i'm having this weird problem where the phone will auto turn the gps on.

i've tried to disable "access to location" in the location services tab but some apps will auto turn the gps back on

Also one more question, what's the default action if you hold the home button ? On my previous phone it will launch the recent program list but on this phone it launches the google search. anyway to change it ?

what program can be use to be check uptime or battery operating time ? the default lenovo power software don't have any graphing function.

Thanks for reply. The phone is in stock rom. No root or whatsoever. If swap sim,  the second sim can still use for 3g or only the first sim slot can 3g?

you need to be on chinese base. it really tempting for me , setting up flashtool now. still not working damn..

bought this P780 for my brother... quite disappointing when found out that this phone cannot flash MIUIandroid ROM.. need to use buggy RUS ver. yerrrrr
