QUOTE(blacktrix @ Nov 4 2006, 10:24 PM) Hmmmmmmmm..... tempted to order from Japan..... Either that or see if my buddy can bring back a guitar from singapore. No. He wouldn't want to bring back an amp.... he said so already. But beware, the quotes of shipping from Japan will give you sudden death compared to US's heart attack... Imagine this...A normal weight guitar would be more expensive to be shipped from JaPAN than it is from the US...I was like QUOTE(Everdying @ Nov 6 2006, 08:15 AM) more musician's friend specials. I don't think you CAN redo the inlays........ even if you can.... it'll be alot of work and money. Not worth it....... just be happy with your own inlays.
I just realized........ If I DO buy a Flying V or Explorer...... I'll have to buy a new coffin case! DAMN!

You got that way off. The quote I got for shipping here from Japan with a hardcase and insurance is 10,000 yen. That's around RM300++ and the guitar will get here in three days. I highly doubt US three day shipping will be anywhere near RM300.

They are quite a few people in Jamtank who got it in three days. So RM280 is supposed to be more expensive than US? Just so you know, the shipping that one guy had to pay for a RG with case he bought from US was around the range of RM500++ and was supposed to arrive in a month or two. Of course after 6 months or agony and waiting, the guitar ended up back at the seller's doorstep.

Not Japan by all means...Well consider Japan is nearer than the US of A, RM280 for 5 days waiting compared to a RM300 3 days from Japan, I'd say US is much cheaper... Those Ishibashi guys always starts shipping quotes at JPY 10,000 which I think includes handling fees....yearkss...but nevermind...some gears you wont get them here anyways so what the hell.....

Oh, you mean RM280 for three day shipping from the US. What guitar is that? Kinda cheap honestly for a guitar. From my experience, the more expensive the guitar is, the more expensive the shipping will be internationally.

The shipping is according to weight actually and not the price of the item. If the guitar is expensive and the weight is just as slightly the same as (the strat) i mentioned earlier, then the amount spent for postage is around that figure.
