apparently most of eric clapton's early stuff was done on a ES335, and not the SG or LP.

I'm not really surprise heh as the ES335 has been his favourite in his early years. When you mention early stuff, are you refering to Cream stuff or stuff that go way back to the Yardbirds?

Anyway Eva Cassidy's version of What A Wonderful World :

basically in the recordings, mostly ES-335.
cos was reading a eric johnson interview on how the ES-335 is his fav guitar, and johnson always wanted a SG or LP cos he saw clapton with one, and the ES-335 was the closest he got.
then only later realised that clapton was using ES-335's on the recordings, so johnson i guess walked away happy
