QUOTE(yujin86 @ Nov 13 2013, 10:02 PM) As long as you are rooted and still on MJ1, you can flash to MJ7 firmware using MOP without tripping knox.I believe lch36 also rooted with kingo and he has successfully update to MJ7 without ttripping the knox This post has been edited by WiLyi: Nov 13 2013, 10:08 PM |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Nov 13 2013, 11:04 PM) I believe it won't work. HK and China always have something different from the rest of the international model.I guess i wont try this firmware. Too lazy to wipe and setup everything from scratch. Unless if there is any significant improvement |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Nov 14 2013, 08:09 AM) Probably cos you did not do the full step. Did you re-tar.md5 everything excluding aboot or did u only just flash the URDLV tar.md5. If you are unsure of the steps its best you use MOP method. He can't use the MOP method as he is currently in MJ6. I believe he runs into some error during the extraction process |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Nov 14 2013, 08:21 AM) He never mentioned he is on MJ6. Got meh... He spoken to me before via PM and that's why I asked him to follow your flashing method. So I believe maybe he run into some error during the extracting or repacking of the tar fileIf he really is on MJ6 then there is no way to root le without tripping knox. Might as well use cf and tripped it anyway. Wifi issues means he is probably missing the modem and/or kernel files. Which is why i suspect he did not flash all the necessary files. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 14 2013, 08:27 AM) Well since the cat's out of the bag.....he PM'd me as well, mentioned he's already got custom recovery. I then replied if he's already got custom recovery he can flash whatever he wants. LOL, he didn't tell me about that. If that's the case no point to flash using URDLV and go through all the hassle |

QUOTE(joytest @ Nov 14 2013, 08:32 AM) In fact he was trying to flash or already flashed soloilmeglo's custom ROM and he had problems, so I told him to ask here. Well I believe the misunderstanding start when he first asked me "how to root note 3" and then he mentioned "he got problem using flashing method 2". If that's the case since he have custom recovery and planning to flash custom ROM, just redownlaod the full ROM again and check the MD5, then reflash it again to solve the issue. |

QUOTE(nitromx @ Nov 14 2013, 08:55 AM) As what Noobi3 always like to say, go test it out all and decide yourself Is very hard for us to decide for you which is the best but those famous one is Nova, Apex and Next launcher. There tons of other launchers available in the market for you to test it out and it is free. So spend some time to play around. And custom launcher won't consume any additional battery. It's just a launcher. Unless you are using those heavy 3D launcher |

I'm using the Neo Hybrid Gold for a day and compared to the iFace casing, it is much much more slippery. I hardly can handle it using single hand while on iFace I still can hold it single hand and browse internet using gesture function in boat browser. I believe the curve back of the iFace really helps to hold the Note 3 securely.
But the Neo Hybrid is really slim. Looks more elegant for business use but protection wise is lower. |

QUOTE(TianJian @ Nov 14 2013, 09:25 AM) i use odin and direct install the UK MJ7 , every works normal , but i cant access the recover in the " power + volume up + home button " , right now i root again with androi root QUOTE(TianJian @ Nov 14 2013, 09:27 AM) Bro, since you are rooted with custom recovery and knox is flagged, then you may update to latest firmware via PC Odin or Mobile Odin Pro (with rooted retained) directly. No need to go through Kingo or VRoot which still have some suspicious apps being installed in the process. If you flash through PC Odin, then use CFRoot method to regain your root access |
