QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Nov 6 2013, 10:43 AM) So basically, if i flash custom rom on my 4.2.2 i9500, it will be no problem rite? No need to bother about knox? Am using 9505 version bro and the Knox behave differently between 9500 and 9505.Check your SELinux status whether it's enforcing or permissive, Then check at download mode whether got Knox flag or not. Basically if your SELinux is still permissive and you have no Knox flag...then you're safe to do any rooting and flashing. This post has been edited by waveweaver: Nov 6 2013, 10:57 AM |

QUOTE(ogiveyakuza @ Nov 6 2013, 11:13 AM) Then you can safely root your phone now. Use CF-Autoroot is the easiest way. Unfortunately there still no way to reset binary counter for the 9500 version so literally your warranty will still be void if you root your phone |

QUOTE(faizrajaie @ Nov 8 2013, 04:31 AM) been quite bz now,.kies also cant update due to diff country code now For manual flashing..you need to download the latest M'sian full stock firmware from Sammobile.com. want to flash but this will be my first time flashing,.so a bit scared,. if i flash using odin,.will i receive the smal update like 40 mb ota or i have to flash back everything again,. this is my first samsung and have no flashing exp,.never root any phone,.jangan marah ye Then you extract the firmware zip files to .tar.md5 files and then you flash it using Odin. btw..flashing stock firmware does not need any rooting |

To those 9505 user that already have root but still 0x0 Knox can try to update any new stock firmware by using MobileOdinPro app in order of keeping their root and 0x0 Knox intact. This successfully done on Note3 which I believe will bring the same result for S4 9505.
**try at your own risk..am not responsible if you trip your Knox. This post has been edited by waveweaver: Nov 12 2013, 08:22 AM |

QUOTE(ahodil @ Nov 12 2013, 05:43 PM) :\ will see... btw how long is the first boot supposed to be ? it kinda almost 6 minutes Initial boot take quite sometime but shouldn't be more than 10 mins. If the phone still fail to boot up..take out the battery for a minute then put it back. Go into stock recovery and do factory reset. If stilk fail..reflash one more time the stock firmware. |
