Nahh..am already use 4.3 long time ago with custom rom.
And no..there's no need to install two times if skip 4.3 as you can straight away manually flash 4.4 when it's available.

Root your phone and install Nexus camera app.
Or flash custom rom that have Nexus camera such as Echoe rom

Knox still 0x0...or already 0x1..?
If Knox already 0x1 then you can safely root using Chainfire CF-Autoroot method. Fast and easy

That's depend...
- if already on 4.3 firmware but still Knox 0x0 meaning cannot root safely without knocking it to 0x1 hence no warranty.
- if already on 4.3 firmware but Knox already 0x1 then can easily root the phone coz warranty already void.

- if still on 4.2.2 with no Knox bootloader (up to BMG5 for 9505) then can root without any problem and warranty still valid.

Aiyohh..if you don't even know bout Knox then I suggest you don't root or flash your phone. Later your warranty void then you'll cry
