I'm using pasar malam ones, one of them crack probably of heavy usage but never scatches the iPad... do not see much different of usage between a 30 and 300 dollars plastic.

Which 300 dollars plastic brand u used before? I do agree not all expensive and branded are good.. Some brands spend way too much on advertisement. That's y even at high price, the quality still so so only. That's y before buying, really need to look for user feedbacks instead of professional reviews.

One of the brands that i think is overrated is spigen. Spend too much on advertisement n reviews.

I do not need a 300 plastic when a 30 plastic can do 99% of what I need! IMO.

If u never use a 300 dollar casing, how can you do a comparison? It's unfair to them. It just like a boss tell you that he can get a rm800 staff to do 99% of what he required. So he said no need you anymore. Haha..

Anyway, everyone have their rights and opinion on their preference. For me, I tried both cheap and expensive casings. While the expensive one does not means the best! but at least it give me a piece of mind because of he quality of the products,

I'm currently using a rm230 case which gives me lifetime warranty on the case. While the warranty is not transferable to the next person if I sell it, but at least I know the brand are very confident on their products to offer such duration for warranty.
Last time I use a china case for 1 week, got some issue, go back to seller, they told me no warranty. Worse, they ask me buy another model since my current one spoilt... vmad.gif vmad.gif

I like lifetime warranty for some products, I take care of my gadgets so lifetime warranty for a piece of iPad plastic cover is overrated for me, YMMV.

Having this thread here is really helpful for me to find a suitable and not expensive case, thank you.

the reason we started the thread is to have ppl to share their cases, be it expensive or cheap. We would interested for you to show your casing too.. and if ppl are interested, then probably u can share where u buy and how much u pay for that..

A lot of people misunderstand the term life time warranty. It doesn't mean that the company will offer unlimited warranty for life. Lifetime warranty for a products simply means the lifetime of a particular products which could be 2-3 years after taking in consideration normal wear and tear from daily usage. It is never meant to last a lifetime and no company will ever dare to provide such warranty. So lifetime warranty means lifetime of a product and it's very subjective.

i do agree with u... but the reason why i choose Nuguard KX is because of this..

"Get Total Confidence with a Lifetime Warranty
In addition to protecting the iPad line, the revolutionary NuGuard KX provides ultimate peace-of-mind ownership. The best-engineered case deserves the best possible warranty, so the NuGuard KX is backed by a best-in-class full replacement Lifetime Warranty. "

As long as I did not transfer the ownership of the case to another person, it will still valid with the warranty. But like u mentioned, a normal life span of a device is around 3 years before one will get a new device. So, the so called life time will be only 3 years.. but at least, for the 3 years, anything happen to the case, i can claim for a new one.. n most important, it works as advertised.

Haha very true. U cant expect a product to last a lifetime without facing wear and tear from daily usage

thats why have to take note on the t&C. normal wear n tear normally not covered by the warranty. Unless u drop and it got damaged, then still can claim..

Nope. But they have this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpQ0EGsA7T0

The front plastic for otterbox easily scratched and makes the display worsen. I bought one defender for my iPhone 5. Used less than 2 weeks, i took it off and keep in my cabinet since then. too bulky for me. And for the iPad mini version, it even worse... no eye see... although i wanted a protection case, i would prefer to go for the slimmest one. and nuguard kx only weight 132gm. Protection wise, it doesnt lose out to otterbox at all. installed with the nuguard kxs screen protector which is shock absorbing, it able to withstand impact from 360 degrees. And i tested the durability of the otterbox defender plastic and the nuguard kxs, the otterbox plastic doesnt provide more protection than the sp. If you have a direct impact on the plastic, it will still crack and cause damage to your screen...

just my observation using both cases.. no idea with griffin as never use before. cannot comment on it..
