I use basecase, got promo price on machines. We can mix n match the front cover, and can even take it off. Very useful when we use it while laying down on bed. I put also tempered glass. So no more worry about scratches, can bring with or without cover. Still have protection.

Err available only for ipad mini.
The retina one is thicker a bit. Won't fit. My friend wants to buy it but her ipad mini retina cannot fit in the case.

Not using tempered glass... Will wait until IMOS comes wi Corning gorilla glass. Now still using IMOS OPC 3sas sp. Previously use china oem glass sp.. Very disappointed with the oleophobic coating.. N a glass sp with poor oleophobic coating to me is a additional weight only.

If I want protection, I just go back to my nuguard KX case..

Yea, my first case also was otterbox defender. I was looking for only skin like gelaskins.

But sometimes I need stand, sometimes not, that's why I choose basecase, it gives flexibility. Take off the cover, then I still have the back case attached.

Nice case..but looks heavy to me.. For now. Since I hardly travel, moshi versacover is fine .. When I need traveling n protection is more important, nuguard KX serve me the best... Otterbox defender too bulky n HEAVY. Bought 1 for my iPhone 5 and it's like a brick, then bought the nuguard KX for iPhone 5 that is 40% thinner but offers the same protection..

Yeah, just use the one suitable for the needs. Cannot use 1 type for all purpose.

Yes.. So far I only use 2 case for my mini retina, last time use a lot more, but these 2 solves all my issues..

Before deciding to buy this basecase, I was looking for adonit jot tote, but cannot find yet. Nice case with retractable stylus holder at the side, and it is compatible with apple smart cover also.

Add on: Accidently knocked my iPad with my iPhone ytd and the chrome part there got dented. Really very soft knock only...completely speechless

Because both ur phone n iPad use the same material. Hardness also the same, so when knocked the damage will be severe.

Same thing like a Mercedes hit the same model. The damage will be more than a Mercedes hit a proton..
