1) I thought most modern phone will cut off the power once it fully charged? since the charger will cold down after fully charged

2)Nope I do not

3)Yea I do ,but this issue happen suddenly, I still remember the day before I notice this it was still perform very well.

4)I never use any powerbank
*BTW , I flashed alot of different rom , I think this started to occured after I flashed MIUI(which also happened to my S3 and cannot be fixed via software method)
*
So 1 and 3 is your problem. Installing custom ROM won't damage battery.
How can a phone or charger plug cut power off automatically if your leave your power socket on?

Hi , need you guys to help me check out is it abnormal to my phone.

My HTC One is 3 months old and it used to perform very well in battery.
but now ,it seems like my battery had degraded.

My phone had 3G turned on from 11am to 1am everyday.

11am(100%)
4am(10% so took it to charge)
8am(100%, finished charging)
1am(0%, charge again)

This is my daily charging cycle and I think that it is draining really fast.
I don't gaming much , just average usage of messaging and forum browsing.
I've measured the draining speed of my phone and I get this result:

Asphalt 8 = 1% every minute
Clash of Clan= 1% every 50 seconds
Browsing lowyat forum with 3G = 1% every 1minutes 50 second
Standby=1% every hour
Airplane mode on standby=1% every 1hour20minutes

I don't have any wakelock and I'm sure about that because it is same even after factory reset/different ROM

This result is very dissapointed me compared to the time when I just bought it and it only drained 1% overnight + continuous 2hrs and half Asphalt 7 multiplayer.

Do I need to send to HTC and get a new battery replacement?

try using wakelock pro...

see which app or services keep using the cpu

that cause the massive battery drain

Yes I've tried alot of wakelock apps, it seems normal , not much wakelocks ,so obviously it's not something related with software.

guys, some water got on my phone and now it cant turn on, or charge. the orange led light wont even turn on when i charge it. i sent it to a shop for repair, the guy said probably lcd damage. price to repair is 700 sad.gif what should i do? i know htc service is like crap.
*
Let it sit on a warm laptop or just put it under air conditioner air flow for a few days. This will drain the battery and let the internal dry out also. try to turn it on after a few days. or plug to charge. If all else fails, get a quote from the HTC service center by calling them , then base that as your reference price. Look for other alternative.

My iphone 4S last time with wake button issue (push wake button nothing happens) and LCD issue i just drench it with contact cleaner at the wake button location trying to wash the dirt away, the contact cleaner sipped into the LCD and the whole LCD is wet with marks. I turn it off put it into my locker for 3 weeks , after thinking it is gone case I took it out just to see what happens when I power it on , it just turns on and the LCD is clean with nothing at all & wake button issue solved. i really tabek Steve Jobs for that .

That's what I wonder too... from what other's say , the battery stopped charging at 100% and started to using the battery instead. So,I might think of although it is showing 100% but actually it is "98 ,97%" or something after some time

zixian96 Try wiping battery stats then do a full charge for at least 2 days. Btw, Clash of Clans eats up a lot of juice. At least for me.

The battery will stop charging once its full, and the phone will be powered via the USB port. This function is controlled via a power management circuit. Some intelligent circuits will cutover to the internal battery, let it discharge till 97-97% and then trickle charge the battery back to 100%.

Ignore the unplug after full, don't charge more than x hours, blah blah. That is old school 1990's battery charging technology.

All USB chargers output 5V, some can do 1A and some can do up to 2.1A. Its called load regulation. I've been using a 1st Gen iPad charger for all my phones and stuff since day one and no problems. There is no problem with using any USB charger from any brand as long as it complies to the USB 5V standard.

Cheap knockoffs from China does not apply. Those might be dangerous to use even. People have died doing so.

The same with substandard powerbanks. Highly likely won't kill you, but might kill your phone.

zixian96 Sorry for the confusion. Should be just wiped the battery stats then do a full charge. Monitor again. Because, after jumping into new roms. It is advised to wipe the battery stats. Worth a shot wink.gif
