i think even if u eat lots of apples and oranges still won't get fat. can't imagine anyone getting fat from eating too much fruits. unless its durian etc.

"154g or 1 cup of watermelon only has abt 46 calories, and mainly comprises of water and some simple carbohydrates (12g, in which 10g is fruit sugar)"
source: http://www.peertrainer.com/DFcaloriecounterB.aspx?id=2253 that is very little carbs for a lot of watermelon. in other words, you shouldn't worry too much bout it. i don't know why u take watermelons post workout though. most ppl take fruits as snacks in between meals to lose weight. |

@ kurtkob78,
i dont think u should take tuna mayo. take tuna in spring water or brine instead. the nutritional value for the tuna mayo is really shitty, less protein and more carbs n fat. other than that, your diet seems all right to me in my opinion. it's okay if u don't wanna become hyuuuugeeEE |

QUOTE(kurtkob78 @ Jul 23 2008, 08:58 AM) i see from the can of tuna mayo the carb content only small amount. Then I only eat half can. I dont mind about the fat though :-) need the energy from the fat. Got any suggestion what to eat for breakfast ? Thanks for the advice. umm.. your diet seems fine actually. more than ideal QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Jul 23 2008, 09:51 AM) I got a question though. i think the key thing here is that you eat protein meals often enough. as 4rings stated it should be at least 4 protein meals a day. not enough protein = muscle catabolism. thats my opinion.Say we bulk up. And then, when we're satisfied with the size we got, we decided to cut the quantity of each meal by half. So, that would mean I'm toning and not bulking anymore now correct? I won't be losing my muscles provided I keep working out correct? |

500-550 calories? it depends on your protein/fat portions, not your calories. how much protein/fat do u eat per meal, and how many meals a day?

@ryan,
(this is my opinion, i'm not a professional nor have i done this) if you want to lose fat, it's all in your cardio and diet. diet: calories in < calories out. Eat more protein, less fat and carbs. keep your carbs low, but don't eliminate them. have more carbs for bfast and lunch, less/none for dinner. no carbs in between meals (except maybe before/after your workout). eat plenty of vegetables! veggies have lots of fiber and fill you up without much calories. make smart meal choices: chicken salad, tuna sandwich, steamed pak cham kai rice, beef noodles, etc. tuna in water, not tuna in mayo. no low fat food nonsense, go for real food since low fat food is probably loaded with sugar. eat small meals, eat on time, dont starve. no carbs after 6pm. cardio: up to you, but ideally start with brisk walking, jogging, cycling, any cardio equipment. Then progress to maybe HIIT or increase your cardio speed, do sprinting, sports... etc. keep yourself active. try to cardio all out (test your stamina) once in awhile. do cardio often. slow walk fast walk JUST DO IT. at least 3 times a week. i'm getting fat. i should walk the talk. haha btw i hope that helps |

QUOTE(Disciple @ Aug 27 2008, 08:02 PM) Guys, i could use some help with my daily meals here....im currently cutting...please comment on my mistakes... this is my opinion, correct me if i'm wrong.7am - Oats + A little cereals + Skim Milk + 2000mg fish oil. 8.30am - Preworkout (A cup of Black Coffee + Skim Milk) 10am - Postworkout (40grams of whey protein) + Dextrose Monohydrate (Glucolin) 12.30pm - Lunch, Half bowl of rice + Lean Pork + 2 Hard Boiled Eggs 3.30pm - Yogurt (Fat Free) + Some fruits 7.30pm - Dinner, Vege + Fish + Some Lean Meat 10.30pm - Prebed, 40grams of Whey + 2000mg fish oil. This is basically what im taking right now? is my protein intake sufficient? do i need to add on the carbs? i weigh at about 170lbs with a bf of 22.4% currently. I tried going on fatburners but it just didn't work for me...so, i took coffee for preworkout instead. if you're cutting, i think your carbs is WAY WAY too high. i don't know much abt coffee, but i wouldn't recommend it as a pre-workout meal. lets see: 7am - not enough protein from just skim milk. eat whey, eggs, tuna, chicken, anything else 8.30am - not enough carbs for energy. eat oats, wholewheat bread etc. but since you're bfast is at 7am, should be okay. i dont know what black coffee does. 10am - pretty ideal 12.30pm - good good 3.30pm - your meal here is pure carbs.. go for protein + fat meals. i thought u were cutting? 7.30pm - good 10.30pm - good basically carbs for bfast + after workout. after that, you don't really need to eat anymore carbs. at least keep it to a minimum. try cutting rice from your dinner if you really want to cut. but then again, this depends on your fitness goals and how you train. i'm assuming you're doing bodybuilding exercises + some form of cardio. hope that helps |

QUOTE(Disciple @ Aug 28 2008, 06:38 AM) thanks for the help kege...i'll try to modify my breakfast and the tea time...i didnt know yogurt is full of carbs...its milk right? anyways...how much whey do you guys consume? i gotta say...i have never used so much whey in a day in my life...im already taking about 4 scoops a day...no i think ima up my intake to 6 scoops...man that hurts lol... milk IS full of carbs. for whey, i take 2 scoops after workout, and i take 1 scoop mixed with other ingredients between meals, so maybe 4-5 scoops on workout days, 2-3 scoops on non workout days. i don't think you need to up your intake, unless u feel that your daily intake is insufficient.on how i train...i lift weights on mondays, weds, and fris with a 30 minutes incline walk on the threadmill immediately after lifting...and HIIT on tues and thurs. ill go for fasted incline walks on the threadmill on saturday mornings. if u do train like u say u do, you'll definitely cut in no time! good luck with that and update us with your progress. cheers |

56kg at 170 cm??? and u still want to lose fat? i think you are 'thin' enough la
anyway, dont worry abt the yolks.. when u eat eggs, just eat them whole. you're just throwing away the only most important part of the egg. all the vitamins, omega fats and vital cholesterol are there. maybe if u want to lose fat faster, try cutting on rice and go for more eggs and maybe do more intense cardio (faster). hope that helps |
