No use also. The most important regional exposure is not included in the fact sheet. Maybe can suggest them to include them in through FSM?
It will show country allocation inside fact sheet right?Fundsupermart.com v5, Manage your own unit trust portfolio

QUOTE(TakoC @ Nov 21 2013, 06:55 PM) Still, anyone care to explain how come both funds invest most in China/HK large cap, but HSAO is sliding but PGSF is not? How sure are you that PGSF is still heavy at China/HK and/or ASEAN or even Asia ex Japan since the latest data sheet is dated September 30th, 2013? In that report, they said they have reduced exposure in Northern Asian region. |

QUOTE(pinksapphire @ Nov 22 2013, 04:41 PM) Guys...how many equity funds do you have at any one time? I suppose 4-5 is the max? Excluding PRS. I have 8 funds on-hand. Excluding sentimental PM funds, I have 6.And are you driven by emotions/logic when you feel it's time to sell. For eg., it depends on the duration that you have been keeping the fund, the performance of it the past few months, or simply cuz you know that it's gonna tank soon. Some people will hold till yearssss, and some many few months then cabut regardless of situation. What say you? When fund is not performed as per your expectation, emotion drive will sure happen unless you want to let it auto-pilot. |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Nov 23 2013, 04:50 PM) Hello...annual report will have to be audited...to be able to come out 2 months after year-end is already quite fast. I'm aware of annual report needs to be audited.Btw, OSK-UOB funds still have Sep-13 fact sheets only...October fact sheets many also haven't publish. But I'm referring monthly report if there's any. This kind of report also needs to be audited too? Sorry brother, I'm not from this industry. Pardon for my ignorance. |

It's an equity fund. Hoarding too much cash for a long period is not good for the fund and generate reasonable return.
Generally, an equity fund has exposure of about 90% to 95% in equity market. Otherwise, the fund will behave like a balanced fund. This post has been edited by David83: Nov 26 2013, 11:15 PM |

QUOTE(howszat @ Nov 27 2013, 08:41 PM) If one were to look at the performance of this fund since the beginning in the 10-year chart, it has made a grand total of 2.94% since the beginning of Jan-2008. If you compare this fund to Public Mutual PCSF and make another explanation. I really would like to hear what you like to share.FD would have been much better off. If you want to time the market, this and other China funds could be good candidates. Given the recent surge, now would be a good time to sell. The reason that I'm sharing is not indicating or requesting forumer here to go to buy. I'm just sharing that China market maybe perhaps start to shine or has bottomed. |

QUOTE(yklooi @ Nov 27 2013, 08:45 PM) Have you compared it with other funds that invested at the same region? Before saying that it's a weak fund back and constantly lagging behind FD return, do some homework and compared it with other similar funds.I really would like to give a good job to the fund manager who is able to bring this fund back to its IPO NAV and even exceeding now even though I didn't own this fund in my portfolio. |

QUOTE(yklooi @ Nov 27 2013, 08:48 PM) wanna try US mkts now? I feel unsecured with DJIA, NASDAQ and S&P 500 try to create new high record day by day. In the Q&A session below, Cormac Weldon addresses some of the questions currently on the minds of US equity investors. Overall, he believes that US stocks remain attractively valued and that some sectors offer particular value. some of the Q&A US stock markets are higher now than before the 2008 financial crisis. How is that possible? European stocks have yet to regain their previous highs. Why has the US performed so much better? https://secure.fundsupermart.com/main/artic...v-2013-41--8957 |
