Thinking of entering greater china market. What you think ?
*
hmm.gif
The China Debate
Eastspring Investments:
We believe current valuations have already priced in much of the uncertainty of slower growth and future earnings sustainability
Nikko Asset Management:
Favour China market in anticipation of a few events, such as new round of reform initiatives to boost domestic demand, tax reform, one-child policy, capital market liberalisation etc
LionGlobal Investors:
Reforms will put China on slower economic growth trajectory and dampen corporate profitability, as China still suffers from overcapacity in numerous industries
Schroder Investment Management:
Generally neutral on emerging market equities, where valuations are more attractive but the prospect of Fed tapering
is likely to hit those countries with the weakest fundamentals

above are from ....Consensus of our WISE Partners for 2014 Outlook
https://secure.fundsupermart.com/main/artic...14-Outlook-9111

hmm.gif guess it has to be decided by you....does your risk profile and or portfolio built up requires it?

I just check back the chart for Kidsave, the higher point for last 2 years is fall on 29-May-2013, I start to buy it on 30-May-2013, just one day after, damm.... lucky I am.
*
rclxms.gif ha-ha...good for you...at least you bought at 1 day lower.....
I bought in mid May...highest points......then end later in May, FED say QE tightening....bond & Eq mkts kena hentam kuat....
both my kidsave and hw Bal performing about the same till end of Nov....then hw is now strolling to +, but kidsave is still minus.

I think china... which is one of the emerging economy need more years still to swing for high growth in investment. So if we have more time to invest (2-3 years) and it is chances now as based on current value is cheaper already. Myself also in 50/50 to topup... still look if markets offer more cheaper value. Perhaps within April-May this year... Now sit back and watch the volatility... cheers.
*
hmm.gif I think few years ago, many analysts already said that.

With the topic of interest rate increasing in 2015, we will be expecting more and more money flowing out of Asia. That's how I'm seeing it.. Thoughts?

googled and found some....

hmm.gif it all depends on what you want....the markets are irrationals most of the times..

what balanced funds or bond funds do u guys get? or is bond fund too 'safe'?
planning to get one fixed income to make portfolio more 'balanced'.
*
hmm.gif at times, depends on the % in the portfolios...it is good to consider FD as a "Bond" funds.
MUCH more less risk at a return variance of how many %? do you want it?
During QE easing bond is good, now QE tapering... doh.gif
check the ROI returns of bond and balanced funds for the past 1 yr...you will roughly see it.

hmm.gif why can't top up now? rclxub.gif

so, lesson is top up whtn we see negative?

hmm.gif
the thing to do is to stay focused on the value of the underlying assets or markets that they invest in. Focus on the long-term fundamentals of their investments and not the short-term market momentum.

See the previous trend/behaviour of the fund...

If relatively stable (long term straight line go up) fund like Kenanga Growth Fund, RHB-OSK KidSave, Eastspring Investments Equity Income, better to lump sum go in.

*
hmm.gif i jumped in with lump sum in May 13, then.....
hmm.gif just never know, just never know....
