QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Mar 2 2014, 06:11 PM) Told ya I don't track P/L on individual sales...I only track OVERALL P/L in $$$ and IRR in % for my investments in the fund I.e. Current value + sales (if any) - amount invested = Profit/(Loss) It's very troublesome to track P/L on individual transactions esp if the fund has distributions, last time I used to do it, but later found that its not really that useful and a waste of time O.....kay! So how do you get to tell me your profit % from your KidsSave and the others you already dumped? Sunday brain slow a bit..

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Mar 2 2014, 06:27 PM) REPOST: Current value + sales (if any) - amount invested = Profit/(Loss) For KidSave: Zero (cos all sold) + RM523 - RM510 = RM14 IRR: 9.87% I don't track ROI % OHHH! Got it! But ROI should be easy. Take that profit/(loss) figure and divide amount invested. So the sales amount is aggregate amount of ALL SALES of ALL FUNDS right?

QUOTE(yklooi @ Mar 3 2014, 08:54 PM) ROI 7% since? HSAQ had been moving much faster than HSAO for the past month. good switch. January 2012 : Lump sum AmDynamic. Mid 2012 - present : focus on just equity. ....and it's free switching This post has been edited by TakoC: Mar 3 2014, 09:10 PM

I was playing with my spreadsheet, and annualized my ROI. In 2012, most of my returns are by AmDynamic. Equity doesn't contribute much in 2013. I wonder why I don't put those money in EPF.

QUOTE(pinksapphire @ Mar 7 2014, 04:14 AM) Do you think it makes sense if we purchase and then sell off within a short period of time, such as a month? If it gets anywhere higher than 2%, already untung dah. The review I got on this seems to be really positive, although there's no such thing as guaranteed performance la. Better to put inside FD... You get 3%+

Pink, your annualized return is greater than EPF? Mine below EPF - feels like wasting time better put in EPF?

What's stopping u from not putting money in EPF but invest in UT? It's only been 1 year 2 months since my first equity investment. So we'll see how this year goes..

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Mar 7 2014, 05:13 PM) Diversification, bro...diversification. Performance dragged by Hwang Select Asia ex Japan Opportunity, weakness in GEM (which I've huge exposure to) and also AmDynamic Bond. If look at RHB-OSK Global Equity Yield and Pacific Global Stars, beat EPF hands down. Why not dump all into stocks? Ok! I agree. Dragged down by Select Opportunity. Switched all my HSAO to Select Asia Quantum, now very big exposure in Asia small cap. What do you use to substitute your Select Opportunity big cap portion? In the end.. Still waiting to top up RHB-OSK GEYF. Do you still top up your PGSF? This post has been edited by TakoC: Mar 7 2014, 05:20 PM

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Mar 7 2014, 05:23 PM) Hwang Select Opportunity (the EPF-compliant one, thus min. 70% exposed to Bolehland). It only increased my overall exposure to Bolehland by 1%, not significant. It has been more resilient than Hwang Select Asia ex Japan Opportunity. PGSF...I top up once every two times I top up RHB-OSK GEYF. Wait, slow down bro.. What? Sorry didn't get you. What fund you have now for big cap? Used to be Hwang Select Asia ex Jap Opportunity, now? Last year focused a lot on HSAQ and neglected PGSF. This year might need put more attention to it. I rmb you said PGSF serves like a support to RHB-GEYF in case it fails to deliver.. Now? What role does it serve? From the look of it, PGSF has biggest exposure on HK and US standing at 27.59% and 23.54%. Looks like can focus on PGSF and GEYF this year...

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Mar 7 2014, 05:42 PM) I switched Select Asia ex Japan Opportunity units to Select Opportunity, it's min. 70% invested in Bolehland, MAINLY large caps. Furthermore, PGSF is also heavy on Asia ex Japan large caps. Long-term RHB-OSK GEYS beats PGSF, but there are times when PGSF shines. So, I allocate GEYF 2:1 PGSF for my global allocation. Noted noted.. Friday blue.. I need a drink...
