got the table to monitor 1-m, 3-m, 12-m and IRR. I usually act on 3-m performance.

Talkin' of 3-m performance, my KLCI portfolio 3-m red liao doh.gif

Your portfolio is on 'maintaining' stage.

I'm using this opportunity to expand my US+Europe exposure. So I don't track that detail as yet.

Nope, I still need more US+Europe+Japan exposure. But Dow and S&P500 chart rise in recent months...too steep. A correction is overdue.
*
True. The index still does not fall below 3-months chart, but it definitely fall lower than 2 months chart smile.gif

Sikit tongue.gif If it fall another 2%-3% below 3 months performance, then I will top up again. My US+Europe is just around 22%. Got plenty of 'quota' to play with.

Going to switch out part of my Hwang Select Asia Opp into the 'fe-mes' ponzi fund. Feel like I'm wasting my time and money putting in Hwang Opp now.

I believe HAQF tried to exit from Thailand equity by cutting losses. Their holdings at Thailand has significantly reduced.

And HSAO is holding over 60% in Malaysia market if you notice.

Me too, fed up with it, even Pacific Global Stars performed better.
*
If want switch from HSAO to HSAQ (intra switching), when I compute using the switching calculator, I notice that there is no switching fee being imposed? Just to clarify, when I switch sell Fund Hwang A, I won't be imposed to any charges, but if I switch buy into Fund Hwang A I will need to pay for that fund SC right?

How's the process like? Just click intra switching and select the units amount to switch out?

For HwangIM, intra switch is free.
*
More reason to switch over now biggrin.gif

The only thing I dislike is that my cost invested amount won't be perfect round figure anymore.

Switch sell - you sell units, not amount. Hence will result in decimal, cost invested amount won't be round figure.
Switch buy - Same goes to that.

No lar. Maybe 1/3 of it. No more staying invested in it. It's been underperforming for quite awhile. Moreover it's free switching tongue.gif

Interesting info to share...my Hwang Asia Quantum has been delivering IRR of 14.1%, while Hwang Select Asia OpporTIUnity -8.42%...

I tried doing something just now, add up the figures and do an IRR for my "HwangIM portfolio"...got IRR of 7.48%, considered "decent"? unsure.gif

Switch only lar smile.gif 3 months down the road I'll tell you it was the right thing to do. Haha!

Be aware that ponzi fund are heavier on Philipines and Indonesia too. More volatile smile.gif

Relax bro don't too stress or panic....u never really lose money unless you cash out from the fund...we r dealing with pool of stock securities here.... They dump the garbage stock today but who knows 1 or 2 months later a garbage stock turn into gold? smile.gif... Was market reaction make u lose focus of ur earlier planning when buying this fund? its all about emotional mgmt n not lose ur earlier plan in a herd of human erratic behavior...
*
"All gain or loss will not be realized until you cash out from the fund" - another way to look at it : all gain or loss will be realized when the fund manager decided to sell them.

Something for you to think about. Unlike holding share, all gain or loss are realized only when you sell them.

HSAQ focuses on small cap which has higher potential to perform as compared to HSAO that focuses more blue chips and dividends.

Despite that Hwang Asia Opp has been underperforming for months. I will be topping up Quantum next week.
