QUOTE(silverchain @ Apr 9 2014, 02:34 AM) guys, how do i buy paid app in the app store without credit card or paypal? I heard itunes gift card only works on us address? mine set to malaysia If set to Malaysia is even easier ... just link to your debit card. If you have an ATM card, almost 100% sure you are using some type of debit card.Paypal only work if the credit card linked to it is issued by US bank. And most of us with US itunes use gift cards. Can buy from garage sales |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 11 2014, 09:16 PM) Hi, may I know how much storage space will be taken up by all the Apple apps mentioned above? Was thinking of getting a 32GB iPad Air but now beginning to think the storage space might be limited after installing all those apps... Normally those app by Apple will be around 200 - 300 Mb each so it won't take much. Other apps most likely will be around 50 - 100 Mb, depends on the functionality. Simple app, smaller size. What really going to fill those space are mp3s, games like need for speed or infinity blade which can go up to 1 - 2 Gb in size and don't forget movies if you load them up in VLC or iTunes or any video players.32Gb would be suffice for you if you know how to manage the space given. I'm the type that throws everything inside my iPad so even my 128Gb does not seem to be enough. It's full with vacation pictures, games and movies for traveling needs. In the end, it's how you manage the space that's important. Some can make do with just 16Gb but I'm more to the bigger the better type. I'll never know when I might be needing the free space. Sure now people says theres' the cloud where you can store everything but sometime you just need it right there and then. You don't want to wait for it to download from the cloud before you can start anything and then wait again for it to be uploaded back to the cloud right? If your iPad if the wifi version, then you need wifi for the cloud to work. And if you have the LTE version, you'll worry that your data quota going down the drain. So for me, space is important. Ask yourself, is 32Gb enough, provided budget is not an issue. |

QUOTE(xproc @ Apr 21 2014, 02:52 PM) my 1st APPL device is iPad, then brought an 13" MBA, then carry both to work. then after one month, i sell my 8th month old ipad since i hardly touch my ipad since i have the MBA. After 7 month later, sold my 13" MBA and brought 11" MBA. then buy iPhone 5 since i miss having iOS device but dont want iPad... If you fully utilize the item then it's not wasting money. Wasting money is something that you don't use but bought it anyway.even newer ipad come out, did not have the feeling to buy, have iPhone and MBA is enough already. Anyway my iPhone is old liao, looking to upgrade when new one comes out really waste money |

QUOTE(sai86 @ Apr 23 2014, 04:18 PM) PLanning to get this Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader. I'm using one. Drawback? It takes some time to display the thumbnail when you plug the SD card in. Maybe my SD card is slow.any major drawback? AFAIK is unable to read card more than 32gb. will it auto reduce the size of the original file? unable to copy/view RAW file? will be great if input is from current user Unable to read more than 32gb? Where did you get that? It will import the full reso/size of the image. As for copy/view RAW file, I have not tested that. I only take photo in JPEG |

I don't see any benefit torrenting from iPad. If I want to download something from torrent, I would do it on my PC. That's how I would do it or I would remote to my pc at home/office and start tye torrent download.

QUOTE(ericpires @ May 14 2014, 10:01 AM) Is Ipad Air 16gb enough space? What are sizes of most of the apps and games for ipad, i only know that some games can reach 2gb & above. Depends on your usage pattern. Some people (like me) finds way to fill up the highest capacity iPad and still thinks it not enough (also like me). Games mostly will take up space around 1 -2 Gb. If you're the type not into gaming, storing lots of pictures and uploading videos/movies, if you think you can manage with just 16Gb then go ahead. |

VLC is not a video standard or file format but an application that can play a variety of file format without installing any codec. Unless it's not the same VLC as http://www.videolan.org/There is nothing special about VLC. It's just a file format that must be run by supported Apps. |
