It has been a week since I use iloome screenmate flex with the Apple SmartCase, and I'm liking it a lot. Although it's glass, it's flexible and thin like a normal PET screen protector. The SP is smooth (but not as smooth as Armorz extreme lite on my 5s) and the oleophobic coating is holding up quite nicely. No visible hairline scratch (yet), maybe because it's always covered with the SmartCase. I'll be changing the cover to Logitech Keyboard Folio to test if it can withstand any scratching. Last time when using capalang SP, it would get scratched within 24 hours.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Feb 16 2014, 10:54 AM) Might be an isolated case for my iPad Air. My iPad 2 had better coverage but definitely not as good as my Armorz Extreme Lite for my iPhone, that one perfect! Right now I'm loving my iloome. It feels good and looks like no SP on my iPad, and it's thin too. Yeah I think Armorz is the best glass SP I've used so far for iPhone, but I already have a deep scratch on mine

QUOTE(celciuz @ Feb 16 2014, 02:27 PM) Yikes, so far I've been using the Armorz for about 2 months now. (Y) the screen smoothness is win! Haven't used any that is better than it yet. Initially was considering the Armorz for iPad Air but then the price so decided to go with Glass-M but unfortunately my copy haih I wanted to order Armorz for iPad also but it's no where to be found. Almost go with Glass-M but heard a lot of chipping issue so I went with iloome. Wanted to get siege from one of the forumer here but no stock.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Feb 16 2014, 02:46 PM) So far I think Armorz only available on their website, nobody bringing this in sigh. http://www.armorz.com/en/product/iPad-Air/...e-iPad-Air/fm67 (USD89.95 ) Must buy thru Amazon also bro but it's not available. I've tried looking it high and low for it. Bro Connect2USales said they have problem with their 0.4mm glass SP or something.

QUOTE(Connect2USales @ Feb 16 2014, 09:26 PM) again? seems like iloome really prone to scratches too I blame the keyboard folio. When I was using it with the SmartCase, it was flawless. I suspect that when there's sand or some rough particle sticks to the screen or top part of the keyboard (battery compartment), it grinds on both part and scratch the SP. If they line the top part with suede or something soft, it would not scratch the sp. Their FabricSkin keyboard folio pulak damn expensive at usd150.

QUOTE(lightning69 @ Feb 17 2014, 09:04 AM) Why spend so much for a SP. I bought one 0.2mm tempered glass sp from Taobao for RM60 and works like a charm. If one can afford it then why not, right? "Why spend so much on Ferrari when Kancil also can bring you anywhere" ... something like dat la.

Yes you see 3 pins but it's still not gounded. When you separate the 3 pin adapter with the usb charger, it only connect live and neutral. The 3rd pin is just to accommodate our socket standard.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Feb 19 2014, 10:48 AM) This is referring to the iPad Air's original charger? But I see there's like a slot to put a fuse in, and the ground pin is metal too. Yes I was referring to the iPad charger as below The ground pin can be metal but it is still not connected to grounding. Remember when we need to use 2 pin plug on a 3 pin socket where we jam pen or test pens to get the socket open? In this case, the 3rd pin serve this purpose. Actually the fuse is not for grounding, it's to cut any overload from the live connection. If you see in the picture below, where the round metal thing on the side, that is the grounding for the adapter (usually found on Macbook or MBA charger). The 3 pin plug also have a metal contact in the insert to complete the grounding.

People get confuse on how iOS handles "Multitasking". For user that's used to Android, they need to clear opened apps to clear the memory. This is not true with iOS. When you open an app and then press the home button to open another app, the previous app will not sit in the memory but iOS will only save the state of the app, not the whole app. The so called "multitasking" window when we invoke by double pressing the home button is just like showing a "history" of app that we had run before. That is how iOS handle memory management for multitasking. You can run hundreds or thousands of apps without "closing" or swiping up the apps and it still can run without problem. Maybe something is wrong somewhere with your iOS. Did you jailbreak yours?

QUOTE(crusher @ Mar 8 2014, 10:21 PM) Hi guys, how long you guys charge your ipad? From 0% to full. It takes me more than 2 hours i think. Is it normal? And it drain my battery very fast, with cellular on and browsing, 2 days sure no more battery. More than 2 hours for 0 - 100% is normal. Don't measure the usage by days but how many hours did you used it. If 10 or more hours depending on usage then it's considered normal. Check the usage in settings > General > Usage.

QUOTE(S4a @ Mar 11 2014, 09:27 AM) Never drain your iPad to 0%. It stresses the battery very badly. Just charge it whenever you can to extend the battery lifespan. I only drain the battery to 0% every 2 months to calibrate the battery.

QUOTE(yayiyu99 @ Mar 12 2014, 11:38 AM) Why you need to do that? The battery percentage is already pretty accurate. http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.htmlPlease read under the section " Use Your iPad Regularly" To say it's pretty accurate is not that true. I've encountered before when the battery indicator shows 89% but when I reboot the iPad, the indicator turns to 92%. FYI ... doing the said method is not to re calibrate the battery but more to re calibrate iOS to better measure the battery charge. This post has been edited by frozzbyte: Mar 12 2014, 02:03 PM
