QUOTE(mingisms @ Nov 1 2013, 11:31 PM) thanks for the heads up! mind explaining why? yeah, probably not the best environment to maintain indifference in. You'd want to emphasise the fact that 'watak' actually practices the nilai , hence , using the 'kata kerja' form of the nilai . Also , SPM answer scheme wants candidates to write like that . Anyway if there are any queries , FB message , email , or even PM me . I'll drop by here only after the BM paper .

On second thought , I guess I'll drop by to answer questions ( if I can ) and also to share new stuffs ( if I do get them ) .
But I'd no longer update the front page's Candidates List . Sorry guys . And also , for now , I can't come up with secret formulas or tips or guides about how to prepare for a certain subject . Realistically , we still have a few days left , and I'm not sure how I'm able to help . My advice , for everyone , would be to ' Keep Calm and Study ' , no point in panicking at the moment . In fact , as days go by , you should try to relax more .
I'm sure most of you have tried your best and have done your part in preparing , so just bear in mind that you'll do fine ! The thing is , when SPM is over , we'll all tell our juniors not to fret that much about it . The fear of the unknown , fear of questions that might trip us up , but I'm sure the real deal would be just okay .
Try to do something to take your mind off SPM , at least for a few hours every day --- for some , it may be prayer , meditation , family time , for others it may be sports , music , or going out with friends . Whatever suits you best .
// Just got this news a few days ago , you can bring in any printed materials , including answer schemes , for Sejarah P3 . I'm sure all of you are aware of this . //

QUOTE(chun96 @ Nov 2 2013, 11:10 PM) For 'anafora', 'responsi' and 'epifora', do the 'pengulangan need to be on the same 'baris'? Responsi - middle of different baris Repitisi - same baris

QUOTE(chun96 @ Nov 2 2013, 11:50 PM) Do the 2 'baris' need to be right after another or can be far apart? Both also can , I think . Not too obsessed with it and I don't think we'll be tested that thoroughly about it since we're taking BM , not Sastera Melayu .

QUOTE(RED-HAIR-SHANKS @ Nov 2 2013, 11:55 PM) The bolded part above really explains my recent preparations towards the SPM, albeit the fact that I don't really like it. I've completed in revising both of the language subjects for my first week of SPM examination, but for some unknown reasons, I doubt my preparations are really suffice to take on both BM and BI. It even seems that Sejarah is more foreboding...... Done with Sejarah , at least for now ! Will take some time after English to revise . I will need to take a day or two after English to prepare for Moral and Biology too .

QUOTE(stpxdf88l @ Nov 2 2013, 11:59 PM) Can we still take SPM if we're admitted into the hospital? I'll take this post with a pinch of salt ( paranoia , maybe ? ) but yes , you can . One guy was admitted into the hospital for food poisoning and got 9A+ , 1A and he's at Oxford now studying Philosophy , Politics and Economics . Another damaged his head so bad that he was admitted into ICU , but pulled through with 10A+ at the end . So don't worry , and sleep tight !

QUOTE(cuzuamazing @ Nov 4 2013, 01:06 PM) for bm p1 karangan, how do u start a karangan? i saw a video yesterday about a tuition teacher saying that phrases like "marcapada ini" and "pada era globalisasi ini" is complete bullshit.the examiner will simply get bored. he encouraged to use a creative pendahuluan. for example, if it is about keamanan, he used some phrase from negaraku, and wrote "malaysia begitu aman, rakyat tidak mampu mengenali perbezaan tentang bunyi mercum dan bunyi bom!" something like that. what do u all think? should use creative pendahuluan or stick to the era globalisasi thing? Cikgu Suguz ? I watched his videos too . But bear in mind , although he's very experienced , he has never been an examiner . I've talked to examiners and read some sample re-typed scripts and many students utilise " Pada era moden ini ... " , and other generic pendahuluans , with scores of 80-90 .

QUOTE(mingisms @ Nov 4 2013, 01:07 PM) Yep, these are the ones I've heard from so many different sources, one of them HAS to be right. Welcome back MaximR. So , have you prepared for them , like writing them out , or just have a rough idea and will use your 11 years worth of experience to come up with your best karangan ? Because I've read like too many karangan's these past few days , and to be honest , I'm kinda sick of them --- reading BM karangan's isn't a pleasant experience ( unlike reading creative works ) , it gets monotonous , and all those apple polishing about you-know-what makes me tired ... So I'm left with these tajuk's in my mind , not sure to continue coming up with perenggan's for now , or just abandon BM completely and start thinking about my English and Moral .

QUOTE(mingisms @ Nov 4 2013, 01:09 PM) Good luck! It's quite simple because there are no new concepts, just integration, differentiation and factorising, mostly. For the last question ( normally finding the total distance traveled by a particle ) , do you : 1 . Use integration ( method which I am comfortable with ) 2 . Use that substitution and subtraction method which SBP uses ( no idea on how it works though )

QUOTE(cuzuamazing @ Nov 4 2013, 01:15 PM) do u have the topic such as kebaikan or langkah? i wont rely n tips too much, cuz it makes me think of my PMR. tons of tips, none of them came out I wouldn't say I'm relying on them , just trying to be prepared for all possible questions , who knows , there MIGHT be surprises this year , in that case we'll just have to stir-fry sentences into a karangan .

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(mingisms @ Nov 4 2013, 01:20 PM) Yeah, I get your feelings. I'm super sick of karangans and komsas now and I feel like I may be overprepared and my mind won't be open enough to think out of the box on Wednesday. I'm going to calm down the BM for now, finish up whatever exercises I have left over and just chill. I've been doing a karangan a day since Friday but I've done like four and now I think it's time to stop. It's good practice for me because I needed to change my handwriting into something bigger and easier to read, and also stop using correction tape. Now that that's settled, I think I'm going to take today off and chill. I've prepped very rough (as in one word, two word) isi for every spotted karangan that I have gotten, and I've stocked up on some slogans and peribahasa, but otherwise I'm going to chill. I mean, this whole year without preparation for karangan I've been pulling solid 85 just by having an open mind and thinking clearly, and I don't want to be terkongkong by preplanned isi, y'know what I mean? I think to be safe, I would just come up with some perenggans and leave it, move on to Sejarah or something. I find sejarah really helps me in BM because I can relate isu semasa and other stuff from sejarah into my karangan. For example, for peranan ibu bapa, I brought in Wawasan 2020 and its cabaran etc etc. Good luck! x Right , and I fully agree with what you're saying . I should stop now , too . Have fun with Sejarah ! I left Sejarah for BM three days ago , and will only refresh my memory after English , we have about 5 days to prepare for it which would be absolute fun ! QUOTE(mingisms @ Nov 4 2013, 01:21 PM) Integration all the way. What is that substitution and subtraction method? I've never heard of it, hahaha. Can't get my hands on it at the moment , but the method exists . Safer than integration ( sometimes intg can be tedious , you'd have to be very careful ) , but I don't understand how it works , so ...

QUOTE(cuzuamazing @ Nov 4 2013, 01:25 PM) mind sharing out the slogans and peribahasa that u have prepared? thanks A simple web search would work wonders . I mean , we're all tied to our work here --- not that we wouldn't want to help ! Search for mutiara kata too to add spice to your karangan .

QUOTE(cuzuamazing @ Nov 4 2013, 01:30 PM) my friend told me that he just made up the people's name and the words he said. he say so many papers need to mark, the examiner where got time to check that the person actually exist or not? and thanks a lot! I do that . I make up some cool quotes , then throw a random Western name into it . " Sesungguhnya , sejarah mengajar kita erti kehidupan , tanpa sejarah , gelap dan gundah-gulanalah kehidupan kita . " - said no one ever

QUOTE(Screen @ Nov 4 2013, 01:37 PM) If its the last paper and the examiner just woke up from a good night sleep leh? The examiner will be like :"this is a good quote, I shall purposely check who wrote this to see the answer correct or not". *puts on troll face* The examiners will be stuffed in a dewan or a hotel and they will mark scripts together . So , how would they check ? What if the quote is from a book ? What if it's from what I've heard on CNN last night ? What if it's on an article published in a magazine , long , long ago ? Examiners are 'mesra pelajar' , they want students to succeed also . Stop scaring anxious candidates who are trying to prepare for BM !

QUOTE(5p3ak @ Nov 4 2013, 01:47 PM) my tution teacher is examiner, IINM she said something along the lines of will be considered after discussion. But she say if meet those young examiners that follow skema 100% maybe won't Though usually examiners won't like that one, they will tolong asalkan boleh. Here's a thing : There's no 'SKEMA' for BM P1 . They will only have a guideline on the scores ( if a 'SKEMA' exists for BM P1 , we'll be in deep , deep trouble ) . There will never be a list of 'QUOTES' for them to cross-check . There is no such thing as 'something along the lines' for 'QUOTES' .
